While the actual thermostat works fine my last smart thermostat included a humidity reading, which I really appreciated having. Most of my dissatisfaction with this one has to do with the app. My thermostat app shouldn't need constant access to location services, unless I'm using geofencing, which I'm not. And no matter what I do every time I open the app it wants to set my preferences, even though I set them, turned them off, set them again. Now I just say 'not now' every darn time until I have the time to uninstall the app and reinstall it and walk through the entire setup again.
I tried this product installed in my new house. It is summer now and I can control 23 to 24 degrees Celsius only if I leave the heater on. Otherwise, the house is too cold. If you turn off this thermometer, the temperature in the house drops to between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius. So I have to turn on the thermometer setting for 24 hours. I wonder how much the electricity bill will be. Also, I don't understand that I should turn on the heater, not the cooler, in summer. Don't I understand the air conditioner in the house? Please tell me how to use it properly.
This T6 Pro unit has been a bid disappointment. My prior wifi based Honeywell device was way better. This T6 has stopped communicating 10+ times in the month I’ve had it. Pretty terrible that you have to wait hours to get remote access to adjust the thermostat. All around horrible.
This product not only works as advertised, but am pleased it is so easy to use. 2 units are installed in our Church facility about 30 miles from my home. With the wi-fi application, I can turn the air systems on and off, adjust the modes of operation and the output temperatures. It even tells me the ambient temperature in the rooms where the sensors are located.
Set-up instructions not very helpful. I could find none on setting a schedule. Did finally find in the app but had to redo a few times although told me everything was saved each time.
