After using a non Wi-Fi t stat, it’s really nice to have the ability to use my phone to adjust this unit. It’s pretty easy to use too. I would recommend it to family or friends.

T6 Wi-Fi Thermostat needs to be more advanced.

I'm disappointed in this thermostat. It works good but we were expecting it to also show the temperature and weather outside of our home. We had a Nest thermostat, and which did. When the Nest stopped working and it was 90 degrees outside our HVAC company came to replace our thermostat and we went with the more expensive T6 Wi-Fi thinking it would be more like the Nest. It was a really nice feature of the Nest since it did connect to our Wi-Fi to show outside temps. Another issue is I am always getting a push notification on my phone that the unit is not connected to my Wi-Fi, when checking the unit on the wall it is connected. There is a glitch somehow between reporting to my app on my cell and the wall thermostat. All the push notifications to my cell are annoying.
As I said other than the extra bells and whistles and the notifications this thermostat works good. If we hadn’t spent so much on this one, I would go back to the Nest.

One quirk is that the unit will start to change the temperature to a programmed temperature prior to the set point time. I’m on a cost prohibitive set back contract with the elec co so changing the temp during the high charge time defeats the purpose of having set back thermostat.
