The thermostat works great. The ability to check on or adjust the temperature remotely is the clincher for me. It is a recent install on a new heating system so I can’t comment on the long term viability but don’t see any reason that it might be problematic. I have not used the geofence feature. Happy with it to this point.
Overall good features, similar to Nest I previously had. One problem i am having and need to call cust service is 1 of the 2 thermstats is changing temp on its own and not following schedule.
The T-6 is really easy to work with. This is the thermostat that came with the new system that was installed. It has been in for a month and I have encountered no problems.
My system is brand new so everything is working like it should with no issues. Having to learn all the settings with a heat pump and air purifier added to the mix.
I had my T-6 installed in May, 2020 so I could monitor temps in my unit while away in the summer. In July it failed and my a/c servicer had to install a new one. It was a major inconvenience to have someone open my unit for the reinstall. The T-6 thermostat was suggested by my a/c servicer and installed at great expense. It is my understanding that the T-6 has been around for some time. It is not easy to work with and it's display is very outdated. Sometime in the future I plan to replace it with one with an up to date display that is easier to work with. It also gives no information on humidity. I had to purchase a separate gauge for that. I have since replaced my a/c servicer. Although this new unit seems to be functioning properly It's difficult to overcome the preceding events. I will eventually be replacing the outdated T-6. Do you want me to sent it to you? David C. Clark
