Rest Easy

Once the thermostat was installed it was very easy to access and change whatever needs to be changed. I have not set up a schedule because my main goal with having this installed was to monitor the furnace function and temperative when we are away from home. We had trouble once while wintering away and our neighbors had to take care of the problem. Now we can rest easy. If you are not a tech person be sure to have a professional install it!

Terrible thermostat. The main reason to have this thermostat is for Geofencing. It rarely works. Doesn't recognize when one account is at home and another leaves or if you return home. Seems if you open the app it may trigger it and you will get a message. One day it will work and then it won't. Then you have to go back and mess around in the App and it will work, then won't. Frustrating.
The logging of the AC Runtime apparently just stop working after about a week. Can't really seem to find any troubleshooting information about that functionality. WIFI is on and everything seems to be connected. Really not worth the trouble.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

T 6 thermostat

Junk. Third one in less than 1 year. Installed by my builders ac subcontractor. First one died in about six months, literally the screen went blank and I was not able to shut off my air conditioning unit. I had to literally go to the garage and turn off the breaker box. The second one was doing better and that you couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi. This one has moments where it’s not connecting to the Wi-Fi. I have other devices connecting to Wi-Fi like my printer Alexa my TVs and I don’t have an issue with them. Reading the reviews online I found out that this has been discontinued but I guess the builder bought enough of them I have them on hand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

App Software Growing Pains

When shifting from Honeywell to Resideo, the set up of the thermostat is not remembered. I am asked every time I access the thermostat through the app, it asks me to set up "... some features to meet your needs". This is after I have already set a schedule and opted not to use the GeoFencing. So I'm constantly being presented with that and having to skip by it. The schedule is retained but sometimes following the schedule is not adhered to by the thermostat.
In all, it's rather goofy although I am at least able to turn the thermostat off and on and manually set up the desired temp which is useful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
