The thermostat works great. I had trouble getting it connected but that's on me. It's using a 500gb hot spot through my cell carrier. No wifi at the vacation home so using this alternative.

I bought this thermostat for 2 reasons: Wi-Fi capability and price point. The Wi-Fi allows me to control the temp remotely. Many other thermostats are twice the cost.

Sensors would be nice. Setup was fine. Would also be nice if it was smart enough to switch modes based on the temperature like my ecobee was.

Worst thermostat Ive used by far, our new build came with these and their aweful. I've used Nest and Ecobee and both of those are miles ahead of this in terms of UI, build quality, automation, and data.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to operate and provides good information. But connecting it and registering it at the website was needlessly difficult; even the installer could not do it and finally had to call your telephone support for help. After several transfers to higher tech levels they were finally able to force registration of the thermostat and it has work very well since.
