App does not work well

This thermostat was installed with my new AC. Even though I purchased an Ecobee, they told me it will not work with my system. I set up geofencing to change the temp when I am away from home, but it does not work because the app stops working because of "too many log in attempts". How can I have to many log in attempts when the app is supposed to be working in the background? now I am looking for a pro to come and replace it for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When adding a second thermostat if you have a two zone system, make sure your password for your local network if it begins with a lower case letter is set correctly otherwise it will default too a capital settings causing the login to fail.
The wifi set up is not very intuitive. Difficult if you have thermostats for two heat pumps. Can’t get rid of the registration request flashing on the face of the thermostat. All in all it’s not that great. Much better when you use it without the wifi.
