The only way to register this product is via the app from your phone. I have repeatedly tried to do it and it doesn’t work. I could go on and on about the problems with the phone app and setting up the Wi-Fi with this thermostat, but it’s pointless. I can’t wait to get rid of it. What a shame this was the only choice the HVAC guy had when I got my new unit.
Not really happy with this "smart" product. Its not smart at all considering how many limitations there are in automation. I cant even set it to turn itself on/off during high or low time.
A while back it got stuck and I was 1200 miles away from it. The Wi-Fi stopped working and it was not my router. When I got there it was impossible to reset, the Wi-Fi menus were not even displayed. I had to remove it from the power cradle to kill all power to it. Then I had to go into the app, tell it to forget the T6 and the router…and reprogram it from the very start. So it’s working again but the same thing might happen to others. The App is really not user friendly to set up the Wi-Fi and there is not a remote reset. You have to be in the same room with it for that. So when it’s working it’s good, but when it gets hung up….you better be good with network and Wi-Fi settings to get it going again. I’m an engineer with 30 years in my career, so I can work with these things….but it’s tricky and not for a non computer person.
