Very impressed with the T6. Easy to program and is working very well with no issues. I had a Nest prior to this and seemed to have fairly frequent issues which led me to change to the T6. I have had the T6 for only a couple of months, hence the four star rating.
It is hard to setup. I had to call Residio for assistance to make the light stop coming on at night. I was having difficulty connecting the device to my WiFi.
Gave it 3 stars b/c it does the essential functions of thermostat but if you're expecting and paying for a nice, smart thermostat - this is not it. It's not great as far as the user interface or the app. Instead of a full touchscreen to interact with menus and settings, the thermostat literally has menu options scroll across the screen like a Speak&Spell. It's really not a modern feeling device. Subpar compared to ecobee. And the app crashed and failed multiple times while trying to just get it set up. I had to uninstall and reinstall multiple times to just try again. It wasn't easy to do - definitely wasn't stable. Again, subpar to ecobee.
Love this thermostat, I have one in our home and one at our lake house which makes it so easy to save energy while we're away and to have our location warm or cool when we arrive.
This product is not accessible for all people. I am legally blind meaning I can normally see things close up but not this thermostat, so I have to get help. Additionally the thermostat gets hotter when it should cool.
