Two stars because: (1) the journal while nicely complimented with a fold-over strap and pen loop and (2) while it does have an inside pocket for storage the journal is absolutely nothing remarkable and is in fact over-engineered. I see no practical use for the diagonal card slot on the front cover and the pen loop is on the wring side. Moreover several pages within the journal are essentially useless formatted as they are with differing line spaces and open area (for drawing?). I won't buy another of these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a basic journal that is well put together and sturdy. This did the trick. I use this at night for a `brain dump` before bed which helps me sleep! In the morning I use it for my daily check list. The journal has a nice hard cover and a loop to store your pen which I love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the feel of the hardback cover on the journal. There are 3 straps: one on the front one on the binding (for a pen) and one on the back. Just a few little extras that makes it different from other ordinary journals. There is also an area in each corner that is__/__/__ to put the date when needed. That may seem little but is just another example of putting in something a little extra. There are some detachable bullet point list cards throughout the journal. Each has a watermark of the numbers 9 12 and 5 on each. I am not 100% sure what they`re supposed to represent. I would say the number of checkboxes on the card but I am unclear why then it goes from 12 down to 5. Overall though a high quality product.

Great for someone but not me so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it as a gift for a friend but I checked it out myself. My handwriting is terrible so I use a tablet and laptop to do my journal work. However for someone who is legible and prefers hard copy this would be a great item. It is somewhat heavy which points to the quality of the item (paper used etc). There are some interesting features like tear off task lists. My friend loves it and that`s what counts.

Okay the only thing I have to say right now is that my journal I bought in the store was not as nice looking as this black one in the picture. Mine is just a plain brown one because I didn't see any nice looking ones like this one here in your picture...Thanks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tru Red journal is fantastic I have a black one and right when I got it my hands I knew it was a solid quality product. It had a great elastic bad to keep it closed which is also very solid! Front cover has a pocket on the inside which is cool and the pages are a high quality paper and makes for a nice glide when writing with a pen. I really like the sketching sections too because I like to draw out my ideas quickly. I had my brother grab one for his contracting business. I wouldn`t change a thing I like this so much! It`s very customizable and stylish. I`m a happy guy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The journal had a very nice cover and the perfect size to fit in my purse. I loved the elastic band on the back of the journal that makes holding it in place while you write an easy task. The product should have included a pen since there was a pen holder attached. Overall it is a nice product that I would recommend others to use.
