What have you done to a great product?!

Very thin. Picks up a tiny percentage of what the old Bounty paper towels did. I used the old paper towels for years. WILL NOT BUY THIS NEW CRAP AGAIN!!!!!!! I'd give it a ZERO if I could.

The 'upgrade' is not

Like the many reviewers have noted, despite your claims of 'upgrade', your customers don't regard it as a success. Thinner, rougher, more linty and, despite your annoyingly repeated claim, they are, in MY household) NOT more absorbent, so it is really irrelevant what your results in your lab are telling you.
And just want to note that at the top of this very website, you are featuring pictures if the OLD Bounty, with the diamond quilting. Looks very deceptive. Shame on you!

The new bounty is no better than the cheaper brands. Sad that the company decided to cheat loyal customers. i don’t think you’ll maintain your number 1 status long.

Some time during this pandemic year, Bounty quality (when I could find it on the shelves in NYC area) has gotten so poor that I won't buy it again until I can be assured it is back to normal. It makes no sense to pay premium prices for a product that is almost unrecognizable now. The texture is hard and harsh (not even close to the soft feel I am used to), it is thin, absorbency is much reduced. One clear indicator of a change in manufacture is that the embossing pattern is different than before, and the newer embossing also varies,. Also, some tubes are soft and easily squashed. And some rolls seem to leave a strange white residue on hands or fabric, particularly when the double layers separate.

They’re now thinner

I’m not sure why but the bounty paper towels that I have known since I was a little girl are no longer the same quality. Just opened a pack and they are thinner and feel cheaper quality also the feel is not as soft. So upset and disappointed right now.

Terrible rework of a core brand

What happened to Bounty paper towels? These are thin, scratchy and feel like a generic/cheap brand (at a branded price point). Bought my usual 12 pack and now stuck with these cheap towels. I will be seeking a new brand unless P&G returns to the quality formulation of the past.
