The new bounty is a downgrade.

I’ve used bounty for years and years. No other brand came close to it. But now with the change, it’s exactly like the rest… disappointing.

NEW BOUNTY QUALITY RUINED

It was bounty or nothing, until a few days ago. The quality is terrible. You have to go through 4 times as many towels as you used, which makes them no better than any other off-brand. Really disappointing.

Disappointed that the Bounty 8=24 Triple packs have shrunk the quantity of sheets per roll ...

I recently purchased a couple of the Bounty 8=24 Triple paper towel packages. When I went to stack them on top existing 8=24 Triple packages I had, it was clear that these latest packages were oddly smaller dimensionally than the older ones. A quick glance at the packages' specifications revealed that Bounty has downsized the number of paper towels per roll, despite there being no reduction in the price we paid.
Here are the numbers for the older (by a month or two) 8=24 Triple packages I have:
* 147 2-Ply Sheets Per Roll ... 529 Square Feet Per Package (66.125sq.ft./roll)
Here are the numbers for the newer 8=24 Triple packages I just purchased:
* 123 2-Ply Sheets Per Roll ... 443 Square Feet Per Package (55.375sq.ft./roll)

That equates to 24 less sheets per each roll, and 192 less sheets per package.
The 8=24 Triple package has now lost 192 sheets, i.e., more than 1 full size roll/package.

The 8=24 Triple package has now lost 192 sheets, i.e., more than 1 full size roll/package.
In addition to the product's shrinkage issue, the sheet perforations are now hit or miss as to whether or not one can successfully tear off a sheet cleanly without tearing pieces of the chosen sheet, or the one left on the roll. C'mon Bounty, get your quality act together! If you're going to shortchange purchasers on the quantity of sheets per package, you could at least ensure that users can tear off a sheet(s) cleanly each and every time.
Finally, as others have noted, Bounty towels are not as great as they once were for cleaning windows and mirrors, and tend to leave lint behind. This is another disappointment that I find annoying -- the only I've solution I've found is to use a clean microfiber towel for the final wipe down.
I've used Bounty paper towels for decades. I sincerely hope your quality control team will take these comments seriously and take the necessary steps needed!

Out with the New, back to the Old...PLEASE!

Procter & Gamble, you just don't seem to get it. What we're all talking about here is NOT a quality CONTROL issue; it's an issue of REDUCED quality in the post-September 2022 Bounty paper towels, and a higher price for an inferior product. I've been using BPTs for over half a century because of their consistently high quality. Sadly, I've had no choice but to join the ranks of the "defectors" seeking a better product at a better price point. Gotta give you credit, though, for publishing all these negative comments.

The New Coke of Paper Towels

You can give me all the data you want on how absorbent these new towels are, we touch these with our hands, dry our hands, etc. The feeling of these new towels are horrible.
Let’s hope that like Coca-Cola, that the folks at Proctor and Gamble realize this was a bad decision and bring back “Bounty Classic”.
The folks in R&D and Marketing should get a big black eye over this one.

Terrible, researching alternatives

Lesser than the original product

I remember when bounty actually was absorbent. Napkins too! These past few years their softness and absorbency is a stiffer and and less efficient product. Much more like an inferior generic brand. And the cost is outrageous! What happened to your quality???
