I love that you can use whatever size you want.

I typically use one sheet rather than two or more to clean up a mess.

Beware - the dye in the "prints" version bleeds

A paper towel is not supposed to stain the items that it is supposed to clean. But that is exactly what happens with the "prints" select-a-size Bounty paper towel. Kitchen sprays cause the dye, especially the green dye, to bleed out of the paper towel and stain the surface you are cleaning. If you are going to buy Bounty, only buy the white version. Never buy the prints version or you'll have to replace the items that you tried to clean.

Select-A-Size Horrable- A Horrible Waste Of Money

I've been using regular bounty for many years now.
I learned a long time ago that the Select-a-size was a product I did not like after using it a a friends house.

I recently bought a huge package of Bounty towels and my mistake it turned out to be the horrible Select-a -size variety. Well I thought I made the mistake and carelessly picked up the wrong package and now I will have to suffer throurgh the entire package if 8 HUGE rolls.After actually using almost an entire roll I now can write to you why I think this product option is horrible.
1) The size of a single sheet is really to small for most uses. What good is a narrow strip of towel?
2) When you select two sections those two pieces are much larger than a single sheet off a regular roll. Thus you actually waste more towel. Not a value.
3) When pulling the towel down off the roll and hoping to stop at two sheets more times than not the towel separates at a single sheet.
4) At time if one does manage to get the desired two sheets then when you go to tear if off you might get three sheets. Even a bigger waste of money.
5)If my hands are wet and I manage to get the desired two sheets to dry my hands (one sheet isn't large enough) In the process of drying my hands the two sheets tear apart. Now you have two strips of separated towel to try and use to dry your hands.

I originally thought I would just suffer through my mistake of grabbing the wrong product and go ahead and use the remaining 7 rolls. Now after suffering through almost the entire fist roll. I've had enough and will either give the rest away or simply toss them out and purchase the regular Bounty towels that have served be perfectly for many years.
I know most if not all that comment here are fond of the Select-A-Size, But..... I do hope that my complaints cause some consumers to re-consider.

I am SO sad; this product has gone WAY downhill!

I have never written a product review before, but I feel very strongly about this product. I have faithfully used ONLY Bounty paper towels for over 20 years. However, I saw a difference about 4-5 years ago when the paper towels became a bit thinner. Then about 6 mo to 1 year ago, I couldn't use the last two sheets because they had glue on them from sticking to the cardboard roll. Now, I also cannot use the first six sheets or so, because they have glue on them too; plus those first sheets are all stuck together.
I will try one or two more cases of Bounty paper towels, but if the quality is this same poor quality, I sadly will have to try to find another paper towel.
The following are my reasons for the necessity to search elsewhere:
~ Glue on the last two (greasy & sticky) sheets.
~ Glue on the first six sheets (that are stuck together).
~ Thin sheets (which become fluffy tissue-thin when wet).
~ The 2-ply sheets separate to 1-ply, even before they are wet, but especially when they are wet.
~ Rough texture.
~ Nonabsorbent. (I used to be able to wipe all my kitchen counters, the table, plus some of the floor w/ two sheets -- now I can only wipe one counter w/ that amount.)
~ Glue on the last two (greasy & sticky) sheets.
~ Glue on the first six sheets (that are stuck together).

I use this product all the time and just love it! It is great to clean up those annoying spills. I only have to use a sheet or two to clean it up compared to other brands.

I LOVED Bounty, Select-a-Size or Regular!!! Even when I couldn't really afford it, I'd buy it because it lasted so long and one sheet did the job that would take several sheets of the other brands to do. It was far and beyound the best paper towel out there-period.And the value was worth the price. The last package I bought was rough, thin (apparently 1 ply -which I never would've purchased), but even the package before that was 2-ply and the plys were separating. Please, please make a "delux" or something & bring back the original quality, I'll pay more!!! And I'm sure many others would, too! There is no worthy substitute!!

The Chicken Grease Test

I fried chicken wings and had some leftover oil. I drained most of it into a cup, but I didn't want the "dregs' of oil to sink to the bottom of the cup.
I took the smallest size towel and stretched over the mouth, then I tried to strain the dregs through the paper towel, but it took so long to drain, I actually went and started a load of clothes while I waited. Using the same towel I repeated the same process twice more. I am happy to say that the Bounty took WAY to long to absorb the left over oil from the chicken. I am NEVER changing towels again!
