Absolute junk. Plastic guard that the lawyers put on prevents the tape from cutting! Most of your tape will wind up in little wads on the floor. Only way to use it is to manually cut the tape.

The tape sticks to the metal on the dispenser making it very diffcult to use.

I have an old tape dispenser that works well. My dad needed one and I bought this. The difference is in the metal guide. On this the guide is about a half inch thick so the tape sticks to it. So you have to get the tape to release from a half inch surface before it moves freely. On the good dispenser only the narrow edge of the guide (maybe 1/10th" thick) touches the tape. So when you pull on the tape it only sticks slightly and then moves smoothly through. How much of that guide comes in contact with the tape is the difference between a dispenser where the tapes moves smoothly and one where the tape catches and has to be pulled free.

Bought this as we are packing up the house for a move. If we didn't live 20 miles from Staples it would have gone back the first day along with the 6-pack of tape we bought along with it. It is the most frustrating dispenser ever. The tape sticks on the metal guide or glide and you have to back up the roll to free it so the dispenser will work. NOTHING should be this annoying to work. It takes three hands.

Flimsy Not Worth Buying!

Too light weight! Does not accommodate a large roll of tape. There are others offered that are easier on your pocket and on your hand!
