There is no tape end to scrape off the roll - this saves from the last cut and then starts the next tape wherever you place it.

Poor design

I have a tartan tape dispenser which works great. It was only about $1 more but has horrible reviews on this site and someone said they had to put it together which I don't remember if mine came assembled or not. So I ordered this one. It's sitting in my drawer with no tape on it. I thought the bad reviews were maybe due to inferior tape rather than the tape gun. However upon using this tape gun I found the metal guide sticks out farther. So when you are trying to tape a box you end up pressing the on the metal guide thereby sticking the tape to the gun rather than the package. It's definitely not suited for heavy use. It would be simple for Staples to correct this design flaw. But never the less I won't be buying another one. Cheap as it was it was still a waste of money.

Does what it's meant to do well. Handle is a little short for large hands; Cutting teeth are very sharp--keep the little protective cover for reuse; mfgr should make cover larger and storable on the unit.

I use the packaging tape to use for any taping needs. I use mostly on reassembling boxes that I have stored away. The handle feels strong and believe that it will hold up when used on taping packages.

I had never purchased a tape dispenser before and was a bit concerned that the dispenser wouldn't work as I thought it would. But to my surprise it was so much better than what I expected. I am very pleased with the dispenser and not concerned to send the extra out into the field where they will be used. Thank you for such an amazing product. Not too expensive and works amazingly great! Thank you again.
