I really like how quickly this absorbed and it has a really nice, clean smell. This is one of the better lotions I've tried actually and I was very happy to receive it free to sample!

Too thick and soapey

In general I love Mrs Meyer's products. Their soaps are PHEMOMENAL! I really felt like this hand lotion missed the mark though. Too much would come out the handle every time you pumped and the consistency of the lotion felt very odd. It wasn't soapy feeling per say, but it had a very weird texture that is not normal to lotion. It was also very thick which made it not ideal to using after washing hands because then they would be extremely greasy afterwards. I was looking for a good lotion for my skin. I broke my ankle about a month ago and my leg was in a cast for 4 weeks. When they removed the cast, my skin was very dry and flaky. Ive tried lotions at home and it didnt seem to help. I tried this one and was amazed at how well it worked. It really moisturzed my skin and it is no longer flaky and healing really well. It's not often that I find a hand lotion that not only helps to moisturize my hands and repair the damaged, dry skin, but that also smells great! With the Mrs. Meyer's Basil Hand Lotion, I've found that! This lotion leaves my hands feeling soft, moisturized, and healthy feeling and looking, without any greasiness or residue. The scent is hard to describe, but it's a scent that sticks with you. Normally, I'm not into that type of thing, however with the basil scent, I can deal with it. It doesn't necessarily smell like basil, at least not any basil that I've ever smelled. I'm impressed! And would highly recommend the Mrs. Meyer's Basil Hand Lotion to everyone!
