Different Texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried Payons Watercolor Crayons with my son who is 7 and loves art. When we first tried them, we colored a picture with the crayons and then painted water over them with a paintbrush. It’s a little hard to not have the water run into other colors and create browns and blackish tones, but I’m no artist. We then tried dipping the crayon itself into water and coloring. I liked this way better, but you do have to dip a lot in order to keep the watercolor appearance. One of my drawings looks textured because I didn’t have enough water in areas and more in others, which I actually thought was cool. My son had fun using something different. Maybe these are for better artists than us though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible product

This is a terrible product this is related to Jumanji Lion Roars and Lucifer's growl hiss from Walt Disney's 1950 animated film "Cinderella" and in terrible 2005 style. This product MUST BE REPLACED by Crayola Kid's First Jumbo Washable Crayons which I am reintroducing forever. Here are the pictures of the product this product will be replaced by. Crayola's Kid's First Jumbo Washable Crayons works better than these large crayons from Prang because Crayola's Kid's First Jumbo Washable Crayons are safe and effective for children under 3 years old and the large crayons from prang are not. And Crayola's Kid's First Jumbo Washable Crayons will come in different sorts of colors like Classic Colors, Bright Colors, and Skin Tone Colors and Crayola Kid's First Jumbo Washable Crayons even have fun names for kids to learn about colors.

Great starter set with bold colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved creating my own sketches and pictures. I want my children to experiment with different coloring mediums so they can see the different artwork they can create. My boys and I loved creating different pictures with these oil crayons. It’s a perfect set to get them acclimated with this type of crayon. The colors come out bold like markers which keeps them interested longer. They feel really good on paper. You can blend very easily with these crayons. I was really happy a white was included which can help smooth out some blends in the picture.
The initial session with these produced 6 pictures. They came back a few hours later to draw more. I was inspired and am creating more pictures as well. I have a couple pictures that my boys drew for reference in the attached photos. We love this product and will purchase a larger set now that I know my kids are interested.

A lot of possibilities

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Payons watercolor crayons have so many possibilities. I used them first just like a crayon then used a paintbrush dipped in water to drag the color and add my own effect, and I also used them by dipping the crayon in the water. Very rich color, easy to use and not messy. I can see these being used for so many different projects. Definitely would recommend for anyone that loves to work with water colors.

Great for artists

I usually struggle with oil but these oil crayons were great for me to practice with! I definitely recommend. The colors were in very nice range.

Prang Gallery oil pastels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My niece is an artist and i thought these would be great for her. They are truly amazing. You can do all kinds of creative art work with these, you can make them like an oil painting effect or pastel effect, staining effect or transparent effect. However you want to do it it give you lots of options in how you want to pursue. These are now a new family favorite for our wood projects!
