This is good tape but you can get the same thing in quantity for less after postage on popular internet sites. So: Staples needs to compete with a lower price; I believe Staples has room in the product to do this.

I was initially required by USPS (post office) to use this tape on small registered packages. I thought the big roll would last three lifetimes. I am now using it on all my packages for improved security and I am not so sure about the lifetimes any more.

Leave plastic packing tape behind
on June 8, 2008

This tape is great for moving especially on boxes that will carry heavy items like books and kitchen supplies. It is also great for reinforcing boxes that are a little flimsy or have a small tear. It will curl and not work as well if it gets too wet. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars but is also partly my fault for not using it correctly. I replaced all the plastic packing tape on boxes I used to move with this tape. I didn't have one "blowout" where this tape was used. I also use it on the boxes used for storage because it won't peel quite as easy if exposed to hot weather.

Cost efficient & More Professional

Strongly seals boxes of any size for eBay shipping. Covers Old Labels where needed when reusing old boxes for shipping. Reinforces weak boxes. Stronger More Ecconomical and More Professional looking than clear tape.
