This is the best packing tape hands down. It sticks even to dusty boxes which clear packing tape will not do.

It would be totally easy to use with a small SIMPLE wetting/cutting dispenser. The ones available are too big too expensive for occasional use.

Staples Gummed Packing Tape

Nothing holds a packed box together better than gummed tape even though it is somewhat cumbersome to use. I cut it either with scissors or a paper cutter (whatever I have on hand) and in wetting it down an empty glass cleaner spray bottle full of water. This produces a nice even wet coat and beats using your tongue. (Using a wet sponge is an alternative but it is extremely messy). However it would be nice if Staples offered an inexpensive gummed-label dispenser. Hint hint!
