The tape worked fine but it would have been nicer if it had been self sticking. I used a damp/wet sponge to moisten the gummed area and that worked fine. I would not want to lick the gummed area; too large of an area.

Use this packing tape whenever I can find it. Stays on boxes. Strong. Once you get the hang of wetting with a damp (not soaked) sponge its very easy to use. Can't beat the price for what you get.

Sticks when wet and doesn't when not wet. Don't store in bathroom near shower though can be used in shower. Great for practical tricks on friends sleeping very soundly or who have taken a couple Ambien. Color great for any one with an appreciation for wood tone colors Big roll that's hard to misplace Hint...dispense from center of roll to prevent to prevent rolling out 300 feet inadvertantly Warning...get a Big Gulp drink to keep tongue wet while licking tape. Be aware the tape is opaque and will hide any written notes under it after placement. Not particularly tasty though the flavor is effectively covered by gin or a cheap merlot. Improper handling may result in paper cuts. For that reason universal cross contamination procedures should be followed to prevent the spread of communicable blood born pathogens. Additional use as a substitute for wax for Brazilian waxing though it will lengthen treatment time. If you put your ear to the roll the ocean can be faintly heard. It can be used by good ol' boys to fix fenders and stabilize deer stands.

This tape Staples Standard Grade Paper Packaging Tape 2.8" x 125 yards was exactly what I was looking for to create hand-made art books and journals; making dust covers for frame back and beaded wall hangings. I chose this product for its' strength flatness and ease of use. The only draw back is that I had to buy a huge roll and really only needed a small fraction of it. But I am pleased with my final projects and will utilize it for other craft/art projects and its' intended use reinforcing boxes.
