New scent ruins a great product

The new scent is absolutely terrible!!! I have used Blue Dawn for years and not just for dishes, it is great for cleaning and laundry stains. Due to this absolutely horrible new scent I will no longer be purchasing Dawn. Aside from getting a headache it leaves a disgusting taste on your dishes. I have no idea what your were thinking when you reuined a great product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our products are tested to be safe when used as directed, and your safety is our highest priority. Because the scent is causing you to experience headaches, we recommend that you discontinue use of this fragrance. We're slso sorry you're finding a taste left behind on your dishes. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, this is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and items made of cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. For best results, we recommend that you do not soak porous items; wash immediately and rinse thoroughly. Also, you can soak any affected items in water with white vinegar added to remove any residue. Your loyalty is appreciated, and we hope you'll consider trying another version such as our Dawn Free & Clear EZ-Squeeze Fragrance-Free dish soap. Not scented, but disagreeable - it's SMELLY!

The new smell of blue Dawn is cloyingly sweet. The smell persists so much that washed items seem to require another rinse. Revert to the old formula, please.

To remove the scent from your dishes, please soak them in hot water with a bit of distilled white vinegar added to it. Ultra EZ-Squeeze is not so easy.

I have been using Dawn dishwashing detergent for over 30 years. I love it. When I saw you had an ultra EZ squeeze container I immediately purchased one. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in it. The bottle is so hard and impossible for me to squeeze. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and because the bottle is so hard, I am unable to squeeze it. Please make it a softer bottle much like the original container so us old people can use it. I love the idea of having the detergent on the sink ready to use. Great idea, just a little tweak.

Same great product - not loving the new scent.

I recently purchased this. It realizing it had a “new clean scent” sticker on it. Although the performance is still great the scent is just too much and overpowering.

Dawn dish liquid original scent has been my favorite for years. I Will not be purchasing this product again. The new fresh scent is terrible! Too bad a good thing has been ruined.

Great product, terrible new smell

The product works great. However the new "fresh" scent is terrible. I'm not really sensitive to scents but this is nearly nauseating. Seriously, it is aggressively strong and unpleasant. All I can smell when I'm washing my dishes is this scent, and all I can think about is how terribly overpowering it is. Dawn is the best dishsoap but we are seriously considering switching to an objectively inferior product just to stop smelling it. It smells like like strong laundry detergent or fabric softener or something, and putting it on my dishes is unsettling. If we are in fact using this product to clean/save animals (as promoted in advertising material), I legitimately feel bad for them. A dog's sense of smell is thousands of times more sensitive than a human's. Think about that. If they get washed by this, they are probably smelling this stuff on their body for DAYS. Not good at all. I am baffled by this change. Please give an original scent option or at the very least, tone the fresh scent down majorly.

New Clean Scent Smells Like Laundry Detergent

OMG!! What did you do?!!! You have destroyed such a great thing! I have LOVED and used the original Dawn for decades! I could barely get through a single load of dishes using this New Clean Scent.
I beg you - please bring back the original!!!!! My hands still smell like I soaked them in laundry detergent. My family will NOT be eating off of anything washed with this soap and I certainly will not be using another drop of this bottle! I will pay twice what I paid for this bottle to find a new dish soap that smells more natural. You lost at least one lifelong customer and I'm sure I will not be the only one. It makes me sad and I would really love to know why. Why did you ruin a good thing?
