Toilet bowl freshness

I have just now came acrossed this" new "scent. It smells like a bad overwhelming floral scent much like they use on toilets. The scent lingers in the skin and ever surface you put it on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Additionally, you can rewash your hands with mild hand soap to remove the scent.

The New Scent needs to go! I want to know who was in the focus group that picked this - it is HORRIBLE. Please go back to the ORIGINAL scent.

New Scent is Horrific

The new scent smells so bad, I'm going to have to donate or throw out the bottle. It reminds me of the smell of nursing homes ... like a stomach churning floral scent used to mask something awful. It's disgusting.

Awful new scent

I have used Dawn for years and loved the old scent but this new scent is awful!
I couldn’t figure out where the putrid smell in my kitchen was coming from and then realized it was coming from the new bottle of Dawn. It stays on my hands, in the air and even the dishes now stink.
Unfortunately I will be switching brands which is such a shame.
Loved the old Dawn and I wish you hadn’t changed the scent.

Awful changes to fragrance and performance

I own a dairy farm and we have always used Dawn as the first step of cleaning the milk lines and tanks. (I say that to let you know I was a volume buyer. Because of the formula, Dawn was considered to do the best job of removing the initial milk residue and was used by many dairy farmers for this purpose.) Now, no more. We finally ran out of our old supply and opened a new bottle. The new formula leaves a nasty fragrance residue and is generally gross and not as good as cleaning - the perfume-y smell just doesn't ever rinse away. I'm sure the fragrance change was based on cost considerations when changing fragrance catalogues, but can't understand why they couldn't come a little closer to the original's benign, soapy scent. We have discontinued use of Dawn permanently and switched to a different alkaline soap for commercial needs.

Fragrance is terrible!

I made the mistake of buying this because the "new fresh scent" description on the last bottle was gone. I should have opened it and taken a whiff. The smell is so offensive to me that I'm going to need to give it away.

The smell of urinal cakes

Loyal Dawn user for years and will continue to use the “original “, if I can find it. I will not use any of the newly scented products as they smell horrible. All men should surely recognize the smell of urinal cakes used in public toilets. Yep, that’s the smell.

Horrible new scent. Stays on dishes, gets in food.

I have used Dawn original for over 30 years. I do not like the new fragrance! We had to throw our rolls out because they tasted like perfume. The taste was coming from your new fragrance on our cooking tray. I will not buy Dawn anymore.
