New scent is AWFUL!!

WHY WHY WHY did you change the scent of the original dawn dish soap???? I have used Dawn for YEARS!! And now you have now made it so I cannot use Dawn any more. The new scent is awful and give me headaches. After all these years you are forcing me to change dish soaps.

Horrific new scent!

The new scent is HORRIBLE. Please change it back. I don't understand why you messed with a good thing. We bought your products because we LIKED IT! I liked the original scent! Now I need to change brands! I don't like the apple, nor do I want a FRAGRANCE FREE dawn! Change it back!

Noxious smell

Joining the fray. I recently finished the last of a previous (apparently original scent) Dawn and picked up a new bottle. I smelled it while washing my first set of dishes and thought "is this actually the right smell?". I finished washing the dishes and left the kitchen, returned later to get something and was aware that I smelled a sickly sweet unpleasant smell in the whole kitchen.... and went to smell the bottle - sure enough, it was the new Dawn. Why, oh why. It's most definitely some artificially created chemical with incredible staying power and pungency that Dawn chemists thought would be an improvement, but there is no fooling the nose - it's UNNATURAL. The original Dawn actually smelled clean and simple and natural, now it smells like it was modified out of petrochemicals in a lab process. This is not a matter of personal taste, this is genuinely a noxious lab-created scent not found in nature.
I always get blue Dawn because I think of it as the gold-standard that they use to clean oil spills off ducks and marine life - but I feel like this scent is going to ruin that because it will probably interfere with nature at a hormonal level not to mention whatever functions marine life needs based on scents. I see that there is an unscented version but would like the actual original scent to return. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Bad Smell

Horrible new smell on the blue liquid. Dawn's reply to "Gabby" that she must be extra sensitive is WRONG! It is horrible!! and I will also no longer be buying this product after 40+ years.

Horrible new strong febreeze scent.

I just received a new bottle of dawn not thinking anything started to use it wondering if someone had sprayed a strong febreeze smell in it. I have a very strong stomach when it comes to smells but this smell make me feel nauseated. It smells like they got a more toxic and cheap smell to cut costs. I'm so unhappy with this will not be using this anymore and original dawn was the one I liked to use. I dunno who would want there dishes to smell like febreeze its just sickening. The point is to have a light scent that you can't smell on your dishes so you know its gone! Noone wants to eat this horrible febreeze scent. I'm not even a person who gets irrated with scents easy. But I had to tell every person I know who's sensitive to scents because it's not even labeled new scent. I've been buying the original dawn for along time and there was no change in bottle. That right there just seems like a scam or trying to trick customer which I have lost respect.

Terrible New scent

Used to be five stars, but they changed the scent and defeated the purpose of getting plain dish soap. They need to take the ducky off of the marketing if they're going to have fragrance like this animals do not like strong scents.

New Scent Is Off-putting

I recently bought a refill of Dawn Ultra and was unpleasantly surprised to learn it has a new smell which is perfumy and off-putting. I would not have bought it had I known it is perfumed now, which isn’t marked anywhere on the bottle as far as I can tell (nor even that the scent has changed).
I’ve bought Dawn Ultra for a long time because of its cleaning power and unobtrusive smell, but given the scent change I don’t think I can use it anymore.
