We're sorry to hear that this was your experience. We can assure you that our Dawn Original has been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed, and we also put a lot of thought into creating features that we think you'll like. As well, we have many quality checks in place to ensure that you can get the best possible results with Dawn, and we wouldn't expect the product to impart a taste onto your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it's possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and shouldn't be soaked. Instead, they should be washed immediately and rinsed thoroughly. To help remove this scent from your dishes, soak them in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it run them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). Your comments will be shared with our team, and we recommend discontinuing use of this particular product if this has been your experience. While we don't currently have plans to reintroduce our previous Dawn Original scent, we do have other scents available here at Dawn. You may want to give our Dawn Free & Clear a try, as it features our lightest scent. We also offer our Dawn Free & Clear Fragrance-Free if you'd prefer an unscented product.
