Terrible new scent!

“Clean Scent” is horrendous. Please bring back the Original! I will not buy again if this scent remains.

Awful strong scent

We have many quality checks in place to ensure that you can use our Dawn Original with ease, so we're sorry to hear this. We also put a lot of thought into creating features that we think you'll like, and we'll be sure to share this with our team. If you'd like to remove the scent from your dishes, we suggest soaking them in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it or running them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). We hope this is helpful. We also suggest giving another Dawn version a try if you'd prefer a different scent. New fresh scent is horrible!

The new fresh scent is horrendous. I've always used Dawn original because it didn't have a overpowering fragrance that would linger on your hands. But they've lost another loyal customer with this change.

AWFUL Design - - Leaks all over my Counter. I opened just as the label says, but this product has never been leak proof. As the volume of product lessens in the bottle, it seems to leak more. Very disappointing in this product. Love Dawn, just not this design. You are better off buying the “regular” squeeze bottle.

Thank you for sharing your experience with our EZ-Squeeze style bottle of Dawn. This innovative design helps one-handed soap dispensing be easier and neater. You'll find the bottle best works when you keep it stored "on it's head". Don't keep it on its bottom, like traditional bottles. Flipping the bottle will build up pressure, and lead to leaks. Turn the nozzle of the bottle upward, and remove it. Put it back on, then turn the bottle over, giving it a big squeeze into the sink or onto a sponge for about 2 seconds. Keep the bottle stored cap-side down, and your bottle should be fine. Please know, we're here weekdays, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST to give you more help. Absolutely unusable now due to sickening scent

“We have no plans to bring back the old scent”. “We got positive feedback in our testing”. “Try another one of our products”. These are so tone deaf it’s beyond belief. You don’t EVER change a product so many people have used for so many years and then just shrug and say oh well. We can no longer use this product in our household and are scrambling to find an alternative. Crazy sad you won’t simply admit it and act like you messed up and just say you are working on fixing this.

Horrible Smell

This new smell is so bad! It’s very floral but in a weird chemically way, and kind of like the air freshener in a gas station bathroom. I don’t know what on earth made you change the original scent, but I’m going to have to find a different dish soap.

Horrible scent

My household has been using dawn dish soap my entire life, and also before my entire life. But as great as the soap is, this new scent is horrible. I mean awful to the point that we’re looking for a new soap. Dawn dish soap was like a miracle worker I literally cannot comprehend why they would change the smell. It used to be fresh and light and smell like soap. Now it’s a lingering, heavy, chemically scent that none of my family can stand.

You Lost Me after 25+ years

I have been a loyal Dawn user for more than 25 years and I'm sure I have been through a few scent changes without noticing...... BUT THIS ONE IS AWEFUL!!!!!!! Please bring back the Original Scent ASAP. The new Fresh Scent is so bad that I plan to GIVE AWAY what's left and go in search of new dish soap.
