If its not broke don’t fix it

Why change a good dependable soothing scent. Every dish soap is trying to be a perfume. I don’t want my dish water smelling like a delicate flower. I want it to smell like it knows what it’s doing and can stand alone like it had been all these years. Please we don’t need another change, we need someone to magnify what always was and has been the trusted reliable scent of the original Dawn.

Dawn; Why change something that has worked well for so long?! "New clean scent," really? More like "trying to hide dirty carpet smell scent" or "spray that deodorant to hide the smell of weed from my parents scent".
Your new fragrance is really not good. Whoever took this decision should be fired.

The fragrance change of Dawn Ultra Original was implemented after receiving positive feedback during extensive testing with consumers. Horrible old cologne smell

"clean scent" doesn't smell clean. Causes throat to hurt. Hurts my hands. Causes headache. Doesn't clean grease as well as it used to. I'll bet it is cheaper to make this way. I'll be finding something else unless they go back to original scent. I don't on't use it on animals anymore either because it causes severe itching and whining.

Safety is our top priority and based on what you shared we do recommend discontinuing use of this Dawn. Speaking of a difference in the clean you received with this bottle, we want to assure you that this isn't something we expect, as the only change in this formula is the fragrance. If you're washing a particularly dirty, greasy load of dishes, you may need to change the water more frequently or add more soap than you usually do.
Speaking of pets, please, do not use any kind of Dawn dish soap on animals. It has not been tested for use as a pet bath product, although we do work with wildlife conservationists. These specialists have the training needed to help animals in perilous positions, to get them back to their natural, clean selves. Regarding regular pet bathing, consult with your veterinarian for further assistance. We hope you'll give our Dawn E-Z Squeeze Free & Clear Fragrance-Free a try, as it has all of the cleaning power of Dawn with no added scent. The New Clean Scent is nauseating. It also gives me a terrible headache. The original scent did not mess with my asthma or give me headaches at all. The new scent does. I don't want to use the free and clear version either. I loved the original scent because it didn't cause my asthma to act up. Please consider going back to the original scent or at least making that an option. From what I can tell, about 50% of Dawn users do not care for the new clean scent!!

Smells awful. Can't use on animals.

I've used Dawn for as long as I've been buying dish soap. I used it on dishes, grease spots, and for animals when I needed to. Now that the scent has changed, I have to find something else.
The new scent is awful. It's super strong and fruity.
My elderly neighbor asked me to wash her dog after a romp in the mud, so I grabbed the Dawn (it's what was available since I don't have dog shampoo), and he started freaking out when I used it. He's never done that before!
The smell lingers on everything no matter how much rinsing is involved. I feel silly since it's just dish soap, but I'm so disappointed!
I bought all of the bottles of the old scent I could find, and I'm down to my last one.
You should probably lose the duck on the label since the smell freaks animals out now.

Although we're proud of Dawn's role over the last 40 years, cleaning up wildlife affected by oil spills, the cleanup is complicated and performed by professionals in bird and wildlife organizations. They understand the delicate balance required to remove the contamination while increasing their chances for survival. The "new clean scent" is aweful. It smells like cheap perfume, and I don't want that on my dishes and silverware. Who thought that was a good idea? Bring back the original please!
