New scent is a big fail!

Please go back to the original scent. The new scent is clearly not popular among your loyal customers. Why would you want to change it in the first place is beyond me.

In hopes this would be a smooth transition to a new scent, we worked with a team of Dawn consumers, picking the fragrance they best enjoyed. We're sorry your nose doesn't agree with them, and will be sure to let our team know you'd like to return to the previous scent, as we do not have plans to return to that at this time. We wouldn't expect any Dawn fragrance to stick around as you've shared. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, it's possible. Try rewashing your hands, and let us know how it worked out. I’m not a fan on the new smell!!

I feel like I’m washing my dishes and cleaning my counters with Kool Aid. There is nothing about the smell that says clean. Please at least give us an option of the original soap!

Disgusting new smell.

I hate the new scent. Artificial fragrances give me massive headaches. I don't want a migrane every time I wash the dishes. When I first used it, I thought the smell was coming from the sponge, as if I used it with some other cleaner. It wasn't until I was trying to wash the smell off of my hands I realized it came from the soap. Do not recommend, I won't buy it ever again. I want soap that smells like soap not fragrances. I ended up giving it away and buying a different brand.

Don’t like the new scent

I do not like the new scent. I grew up on Dawn and remember the original scent. This new scent it’s not the same, it smell funny. Don’t think I will be buying Dawn anymore.

Can I give it a zero? Hate the new scent!!!

Can I give it a zero? I hate that they changed the scent!!!! I have fragrance sensitivity and although I have always loved the product for its cleaning ability - I cannot use it due to the new scent! I will be changing to a different product from here on out. Proctor & Gamble, if you decide to be faithful to your loyal older customers, let me know and I’ll come back.

The fragrance change was implemented after receiving positive feedback during extensive testing with consumers. This is the first scent change for Dawn Original in over 10 years, and we're sorry for your disappointment. We truly value your loyalty to our products over the years and we'll be sure to share your feedback with our team.
It sounds like you already have, but we recommend discontinuing the use of the dish soap based on the symptoms you described. We also ask that you please hold onto the bottle for a few weeks in case our team needs to collect any additional information.
At this time, we don't have plans to reintroduce the old Dawn scent. With that said, we truly value you as a consumer and hope you'll give Dawn another try. We have a variety of scents if the Original no longer meets your needs, including an unscented version called Dawn Free and Clear Unscented.
