The new scent makes me sick to my stomach. Zero stars. What did you do?? Did the whole formulation team lose their sense of smell? I love original Dawn—it’s the only soap that smells like clean dishes to me. This smells like I washed my dishes with laundry detergent.

Don’t Wash Ducks With This Nasty Scent

I cannot stand the new scent. I don’t know what I’m going to do, because I loved the old Dawn. It is absolutely overwhelming. If they don’t change this back, more than one of us will stop buying it.This makes me so sad. I hope you never plan to wash any oily wildlife with this!

But the smell...

The soap still works good, but the "new clean (oder)" is awful. Smells like stale funeral home flowers or old perfume bought at an estate sale. Had to wash my hands twice with regular soap to get the stink off. Why do this to a perfectly fine product?

The scents are greasy

Ugh, I am avid and an extreme pusher of using Dawn for everything. I've only ever used the og blue in a bottle. My partner likes the scents so we have been branching out. They really like the pink EZ squeeze one, but I feel absolutely scammed and bamboozled to the fact it doesn't cut grease. It's a different formula and just spreads the grease around like I'm greasing a tray for cake? I've had several problems with these EZ squeeze ones, well all scented dawn products they all suck. They don't cut grease!! Do not buy, it's an extreme frustrating waste. Answer to why this is different will never come because you can't talk to anyone with a soul.

We're sorry you feel like Dawn isn't cutting the grease. When you're using a dishcloth or sponge while washing dishes, you should see and feel Dawn doing the work you're missing. After you've washed your dishes and rinsed them, you should be pleased with the squeaky clean shine you see. You may need to add more soap, or change the water you're using, if the dishes are extremely greasy. No matter what version of Dawn you're using, this is a great tip to get the best performance possible. Give me back the original

I’m so disappointed in the new scent. I’ve used Dawn my entire life. The last time I re-upped I just grabbed the bottle. Didn’t pay attention to the label “fresh new scent”. It took me a couple weeks to figure out why my kitchen was so overpoweringly scented. Then it hit me. I felt betrayed. And I just can’t deal with the scent. Then I went to the store today specifically looking for the OG Dawn because we also use it to ash the dogs and I’m not putting that scent stuff on my dog. disappointment again. I can NOT believe I bought a knock off to save my olfactory senses. I hope it works.

New scent, why change a good thing?

Scent is horrific. Why did you change the scent/formulation?
Chemical smell gets caught in my nose and throat. I will no longer purchase nor use Dawn dish soap as it has very unpleasant and long lasting adverse effects after use.

Disgusting scent!

I am so disappointed. Why did you change the scent. I have a serious scent sensitivity and the original Dawn was the only dish detergent I could stand to use. This fresh scent really makes me want to throw up and gives me a migraine. Please discontinue this and bring back the original scent. This was such a bad idea. I will have to find something else in the meantime
