terrible new smell

I have been trying to figure out what stinks in the bathroom and kitchen. Finally figured out Dawn has a new scent, it stinks, smells like something is rotten.

Stinky Dawn Dishwashing Soap.

After years of using Dawn I must look for something else. The Fresh Scent is so bad for my allergies. It says fresh scent but it is down right nasty to me.

Terrible new scent— loyal buyer going elsewhere :(

I’m so disappointed by the new “fresh” Dawn scent — it’s overpowering, too “floral” for dishes, and lingers when dishes should just smell clean. I’ve won’t be buying Dawn again, which is such a bummer for me; Dawn is the only dish soap I’ve ever bought for my household over the past 20 years! It’s a great product, but the new ”fresh scent” is a deal-breaker here. If it comes back, so will I!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Scent is bad

The new scent smells like strong laundry detergent, in a bad way. When I wash the dishes, the scent lingers on the dishes even when they are dry. It doesn't smell clean or appetizing, it smells like very strong overpowering laundry detergent or fabric softener. I hate smelling it when I eat or drink.

Horrible Smell

This new scent is disgusting and nauseating. I'm reconsidering buying Dawn ever again if they keep this scent. I hate it with a passion. Why would they ever change their iconic scent. Awful.

Very Disappointed in this Product

I love the feature of the bottle...no mess. However, this is not the same formula as the original Dawn. It soaps up really good at first and then the soap disappears almost immediately. I have used Dawn ever since I can remember using dish soap. I am so dissapointed your have changed the formula in this squeeze bottle and will try other dish soaps. This would certainly not take oil off of birds as you advertise with the original formula.

What you've described could be a result of cleaning very dirty dishes, as the more grease and grime Dawn cleans may require more frequent water changes and/or more soap added to the water. Omg... What have you done to Dawn, that it smells so overbearing and WAY overpowering??!? I can hardly breathe now, while doing my dishes. PLEASE bring the beautiful scent back, I bet of you! I'm sure that I'm not the only one!
