Grandma's nasty old perfume

I have been a lifelong Dawn user - swear by it, and made sure that was the product used in the restaurant kitchens I've run. The new "Clean Scent" is horrible and smells anything but clean. Why you would make dish liquid smell like grandma's old perfume is beyond me. It's gross. I feel betrayed and unvalued as a customer.

Why mess with what works?!

When something works for as long as this product has, you do not mess with it! The new scent and formula altogether are terrible. The smell is nauseating and more product has to be used. I am pretty sure one of the main reasons most people used this is due to it being a quality product and not much was needed because it went a long way. The funny thing is, after reading a lot of the recent reviews it seems as if P & G is copying and pasting most of their replies. They are blaming the consumer for not "using the product correctly" or to "try another scent". Come on, you all can do better. Listen to the customer because we are what keeps the company going.

“New clean scent” is Horrific and gag inducing

I bought the same large bottle of dawn I normally buy and was shocked by the awful smell. I thought I made a mistake but it turns out, the urinal cake chemical smell is the “new clean scent”. It’s awful and makes me gag every time I use it. I’m washing dishes multiple times a day because we have a new born. Lots of bottles. Nothing makes an already unpleasant task worse than having this horrendous smell assault my nostrils. I prefer the smell of most of my child’s diapers over this stuff. The only reason I use it is because I bought so much of it and it still cleans well. PLEASE, I’m begging you, bring back the old scent. This scent is torturous. The old scent was pleasant, fresh, and added a little joy to washing dishes all the time. Please give me that little piece of happiness back!

Nauseating

If I could give zero stars I would. This clean scent smells terrible. The smell is very nauseating. Same as scented trash bags. I love the squeeze bottle and I am disappointed I can’t get it in the true original scent not the clean scent.

Awful new scent

I have always been a big fan of Dawn original dish soap. This new fragrance is absolutely awful. It is migraine triggering for me whereas the original fragrance was not a problem. I will not be buying this product again.

Love the bottle; dislike the scent

I have used the Original Dawn for decades. This new “fresh scent” is terrible. I cannot stand the way it smells as I am washing dishes nor how it smells afterwards on my hands. I will no longer be purchasing this brand.

Horrible new scent

I have been a Dawn original scent user for years for dishwashing, making weed killer, general house cleaning etc. The new “clean” scent has driven me to move to another brand. The new scent is overpowering and leaves a residue and smell on dishes, fabrics (towels and washcloths), and skin. Please go back to the “original” scent so consumers can continue to purchase the brand/product they enjoy using.
