Another down-vote for the new fragrance

Add me to the list of people who hate the new scent. Appreciate the replies from Customer Care telling us to rinse our dishes better, but when a web search auto-completes "hate the new smell" with "of dawn" then you clearly have a problem. Obviously taste in smells are individual, but the overpowering fragrance for a daily-use item is just thoroughly unnecessary no matter what the actual smell is. This stuff LINGERS. I love Dawn in general so will try to find a version that is less smelly. But folks, this was a bad call, and I would be delighted to see you reverse it.

BRING BACK THE OLD SCENT

The new scent is overwhelmingly strong and now makes this product smell like the store-brand version (i.e. cheaply made). The scent stays on dishes and you can taste it when eating or drinking from items cleaned with this soap. It is truly nauseating and headache-inducing. I will no longer purchase this product while it continues to be scented like it currently is and will look for a substitute.

Based on what you've shared, we hope you'll stop using your current bottle of Dawn, and call us for further assistance. While our Safety Team does assure us that all consumers should be safe with this Dawun Ultra, unique circumstances can occur. We hope you'll feel better soon, now that you're no longer using this bottle. To remove any scent that's stubbornly sticking around, soak the affected dishes in hot water with a little distilled white vinegar added to it. You may need to repeat this process, but it will help. New "Original Scent" is terrible!

I have been using Dawn for years. Now, they go and change the original scent and I will not buy it again. It gives me a headache. It is awful!

Please bring back the original scent

Dawn is my go to and always has been. Please bring back the original scent. The new "clean scent" is disappointing, does not come close to as nice as the original. The original scent was 5 stars, new one is 3 at best

Can I give it a zero? Hate the new scent!!!

Can I give it a zero? I hate that they changed the scent!!!! I have fragrance sensitivity and although I have always loved the product for its cleaning ability - I cannot use it due to the new scent! I will be changing to a different product from here on out. Proctor & Gamble, if you decide to be faithful to your loyal older customers, let me know and I’ll come back.

It sounds like you already have, but we recommend discontinuing the use of the dish soap based on the symptoms you described. We also ask that you please hold onto the bottle for a few weeks in case our team needs to collect any additional information.

Alas for a classic.

The smell of Dawn dish soap has been one of the most familiar smells of life since I could first remember. Washing a baby raccoon I found abandoned in a dumpster. Cleaning up the dishes the kitchen with grandmom. Lathering up for that slip-n-slide down the huge hill. Dawn must know it's a classic, so why change something so dear, so "everyday", when the rest of the world is changing so quickly?
Practically speaking, unlike the original, the new scent sticks around and requires more hot rinsing to get rid of it.

Overpowering New Scent

The new scent smelled pleasant at first but lingers way too long on dishes and skin and quickly becomes overpowering and sickening. I will be switching to a different brand
