Please Bring Back Original Scent

The New Scent caught me by surprise. Thought I had bought Original. I knew after the first drops from bottle something was wrong. For a while I thought the overwhelming ick flowery fragrance was coming from somewhere else. After I investigated numerous other options, I found it was the Dawn. I have allergies to perfumes and this new scent triggers problems for me. I have used Original Scent Dawn for decades and now am forced to find some other dishwashing liqiud that works as well as Dawn but does not smell like cheap perfume.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New scent is AWFUL

New scent is Awful. I wish they still offered original cuz wow it's bad. Sticks to dishes, I can smell it when I'm cooking. Really bad

We're sorry to hear that you feel this way about the scent, as a lot of thought does go into our products. We also have many quality checks to ensure that you can use our products with ease. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the product scent into your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it's possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and should be rinsed immediately and not soaked. We hope this helps, and your comments will be passed along. As well, we suggest giving another Dawn version a try if you'd prefer a different scent. Overwhelming scent

For years, I have refilled my small bottle on the top of my kitchen sink with Dawn, never anything else. I now feel as if I am squeezing out scented lotion, it is horrible. Even using just a pencil tip size of soap, the scent is still overwhelming, and it lingers. I don’t want the inside of my drinking glasses to smell like anything!

New scent is horrible

The new scent is absolutely horrible. How and why would you change something that works so well. I'll be using a different brand once my supplies of the original formula run out. P&G has created its own "new coke" story. Congratulations on making history.

I love Dawn and will never use anything else. The sale or knock brands are not even close to how well this works. With the squeeze bottle I can gett all the product out. A must have!

HATE the "New Clean Scent"!!

The "New Clean Scent" is awful. It smells perfumy and reminds us of smelly hair and laundry products. The original scent was nice and we used it for at least 20 years. We are looking for a new brand now.
