Terrible new smell

The new scent makes dishes smell like you paid a chain smoking dollar general worker to wash them with whatever chemicals they could find on the shelves

Another down-vote for the new fragrance

Add me to the list of people who hate the new scent. Appreciate the replies from Customer Care telling us to rinse our dishes better, but when a web search auto-completes "hate the new smell" with "of dawn" then you clearly have a problem. Obviously taste in smells are individual, but the overpowering fragrance for a daily-use item is just thoroughly unnecessary no matter what the actual smell is. This stuff LINGERS. I love Dawn in general so will try to find a version that is less smelly. But folks, this was a bad call, and I would be delighted to see you reverse it.

BRING BACK THE OLD SCENT

The new scent is overwhelmingly strong and now makes this product smell like the store-brand version (i.e. cheaply made). The scent stays on dishes and you can taste it when eating or drinking from items cleaned with this soap. It is truly nauseating and headache-inducing. I will no longer purchase this product while it continues to be scented like it currently is and will look for a substitute.

Based on what you've shared, we hope you'll stop using your current bottle of Dawn, and call us for further assistance. While our Safety Team does assure us that all consumers should be safe with this Dawun Ultra, unique circumstances can occur. We hope you'll feel better soon, now that you're no longer using this bottle. To remove any scent that's stubbornly sticking around, soak the affected dishes in hot water with a little distilled white vinegar added to it. You may need to repeat this process, but it will help. Give us a call for more help any Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST. We hope to receive your update at 1 (800) 725-3296.

New "Original Scent" is terrible!

I have been using Dawn for years. Now, they go and change the original scent and I will not buy it again. It gives me a headache. It is awful!

Works but Stinks

Does a great job cleaning but stinks. I have to burn a candle after washing to get the smell out of the kitchen.

New scent makes me vomit.

Dawn dish soaps new scent is absolutely sickening. As you can see by many of the product reviews, people are NOT happy and for good reason. I have bad sensory issues, causing many cleaning products to be off the table for me. Dawn dish soap was my favorite scent however, and I always made sure I got it over every other cleaning product. One day, I opened up a new bottle and was absolutely violated by the terrible new scent, almost like cough drops. What happened to saving the ducks? It seems more like you're trying to kill them with this new scent. Look, I get you might not want to discontinue that scent and that's fine. However, could you at least make a product with the ACTUAL original scent? I am more than willing to pay even more for it, so PLEASE please give us back the old scent!

Allergic to new scent, so sad!!
