New Scent is a miss.

The new scent is very off-putting. Have been using the new formula for a few weeks, and was trying to get used to the new smell, but rather than acclimating, I have found myself increasingly nauseated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just bought a new bottle of dawn a few days ago. I have been buying dawn all of my life (my dad was a commercial fisherman in Alaska during the big ExxonMobil spill in the 80s that made the duck famous and we've been loyal since) but the newly added fragrance is AWFUL. I was disappointed to find out this was a permanent change. I won't be purchasing anymore. I don't know why P&G thought anyone wanted their cereal bowls to reek of perfume especially when we all loved the original scent. This was a dumb move.

This is the first scent change for our Dawn Original in over 10 years, and it was implemented after receiving positive feedback during extensive testing with consumers. I received this by mistake. I thought I was getting Original Scent, Dawn Ultra.

PLEASE READ THESE REVIEWS!! I would say that the thousands of negative reviews should also qualify as "extensive customer testing" and we all hate it! To just shrug off these complaints after using a product for decades feels so wrong. Please listen to us, your former loyal customers, and bring back the old formula!

Terrible new scent!

“Clean Scent” is horrendous. Please bring back the Original! I will not buy again if this scent remains.

We also put a lot of thought into creating features that we think you'll like, and we'll be sure to share this with our team. If you'd like to remove the scent from your dishes, we suggest soaking them in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it or running them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). New fresh scent is horrible!

The new fresh scent is horrendous. I've always used Dawn original because it didn't have a overpowering fragrance that would linger on your hands. But they've lost another loyal customer with this change.

AWFUL Design - - Leaks all over my Counter. I opened just as the label says, but this product has never been leak proof. As the volume of product lessens in the bottle, it seems to leak more. Very disappointing in this product. Love Dawn, just not this design. You are better off buying the “regular” squeeze bottle.

Thank you for sharing your experience with our EZ-Squeeze style bottle of Dawn. This innovative design helps one-handed soap dispensing be easier and neater. You'll find the bottle best works when you keep it stored "on it's head". Don't keep it on its bottom, like traditional bottles. Flipping the bottle will build up pressure, and lead to leaks. Turn the nozzle of the bottle upward, and remove it. Put it back on, then turn the bottle over, giving it a big squeeze into the sink or onto a sponge for about 2 seconds. Keep the bottle stored cap-side down, and your bottle should be fine. Please know, we're here weekdays, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST to give you more help.
