I stopped using Dawn after many years when they changed the scent.

New scent is AWFUL. This will be my last bottle of Dawn. Bummer!! Loved Dawn for years.

PLEASE stop making the awful "New Clean" scent!!

I've used Dawn for decades. This "New Clean Scent" is putrid and makes me nauseated whenever I smell it. I'm reluctantly finishing this bottle by the holding my nose when using it. PLEASE discontinue it because no one wants to wash dishes with a strong disgusting perfume scent.
I agree with all the other comments here begging you to discontinue the horrible smell. Go back to the original scent that was perfectly fine. I did find bottles yesterday with a Green Apple scent that I liked. NO perfume just fresh citrus or fruit scents please. Otherwise, I'll be forced to stop buying Dawn.

Overpowering new scent

I just ran out of my large refill sized dawn and bought. I was shocked and overwhelmed when I filled the sink to do dishes. The smell was so overpowering, cloying and perfumy. It caused my scent-sensitive husband to require his inhaler to mitigate the coughing fit he experienced. We had to air out the kitchen. I've used Dawn for as long as I can remember, but cleaners should not require such a strong scent. Please bring back the "original" scent!

New Smell Is Awful

The new smell is awful and I’m so disappointed. The smell is cloying and the odor and taste linger on dishes. Please please bring back the original scent!

We do have many quality checks in place to ensure that you can use our products with ease, and we can assure you that our Dawn Original has been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We also put a lot of thought into creating features that we think you'll like. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the product scent/taste into your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it's possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and we suggest that you don't soak these items and instead rinse them off immediately. Your comments will be shared with our team, and we do recommend that you discontinue use of this particular product, if you haven't already. For a lighter scent, we suggest checking out our Dawn Free & Clear. We also offer our Dawn Free & Clear Fragrance-Free. Great Prodicr but Poor Bottle Design

Cleans as expected from Dawn. The packaging is disappointing. It claims less mess, but does drip. Also difficult to squeeze so I end up with WAY more dish detergent than I need each use. Would not recommend buying this bottle style.

I’m so disappointed by the new “fresh” Dawn scent — it’s overpowering, too “floral” for dishes, and lingers when dishes should just smell clean. I’ve won’t be buying Dawn again, which is such a bummer for me; Dawn is the only dish soap I’ve ever bought for my household over the past 20 years! It’s a great product, but the new ”fresh scent” is a deal-breaker here. If it comes back, so will I!
