Horrible New Scent

The "clean scent" is awful! I can't get it off my skin after doing the dishes. It lingers in the kitchen for hours. Why would you change what didn't need changing?

In regard to the scent lingering on your skin and in your kitchen, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. Disappointed

I am a hardcore fan of dawn dish soap. I have tried other brands before and always come back to original dawn!
I am always careful to buy the original dawn scent as I am very sensitive to smells and am very particular about my dish soap smelling like soap and not anything else.
I recently purchased my usual blue bottle and was very thrown off when I kept smelling this super sweet smell whenever I did my dishes. I finally looked at the bottle and saw it was labeled with a "new clean scent".
I was devastated to learn that the dawn dish soap I grew up with no longer existed.
I know the company is suggesting the free and clear version, but I have used this in the past and there is a slight chemical smell that I have a hard time getting past that was disguised by the actual original dawn soap scent.
I might have to go back to using another company. This new scent no longer makes me feel like my dishes are clean as the scent tends to linger on the dishes in a way the old scent never did.

Horrible smell!

Horrible new scent! It gave me an instant migraine! I've used Dawn my whole life my mom used Dawn it's been in my family forever and now noone can use it because everyone is allergic to its smell! You have to realize that the smell you put into your "new scent" doesn't work.. bring back the original.. you've lost alot of customers.. ive switched brands already and won't be switching back until you get rid of this smell.

Horrible new scent

The new Dawn scent is horrible & nauseating. Why change a good thing? If it was a cost cutting measure, you'll soon be mistaken because I'm sure there are a lot more people like me who will quit buying you product.

Terrible scent!

I have used Dawn for years and years. I can't imagine why you would change the scent to such an overpowering, sickening perfumy smell. It fills up my whole kitchen and lingers for a very long time. I don't want my dishes to smell like perfume. Also, I can no longer use Dawn for my hand washing and probably won't buy it again. What was the point of changing a good thing? Please get rid of it!!!

Corporate greed strikes again. The new smell is disgusting. I've used ONLY Dawn Ultra for the last DECADE, but I will never buy another bottle. Might just throw the rest in the trash it is so bad.

The new scent is awful

I cannot stand the new scent. I was loyal to Dawn dish soap BECAUSE of the scent, and now you have betrayed me. Whoever had the idea that the scent needed to be changed in the first place is wrong. Absolutely wrong.
