Not a Good Change

The new Fresh Scent is cloying & really off-putting for me. The scent stays on hands, dish cloths, etc. I liked the old fragrance & REALLY DO not like the new scent. Will not be buying again. I've used Original scent Dawn for many, many years, even bragged about it but no more!

Awful New Scent

I’ve used this for so long, and love the new convenient bottle. One reason I I use it is the lack of scent, but now it is scented and triggers a migraine complete with intense nausea. It smells of a too strong mens musky cologne.

Horrible new scent

The new scent is horrible. I've used Dawn for 20 years or more, will NOT buy again. The new scent is so overpowering it gives me a headache, and makes my dishes smell.

Your loyalty to Dawn dish soap is very well respected, Nicole, and we're so sorry for your experience with the recently updated scent of Dawn Ultra. Please be assured that we thoroughly test all of our ingredients for safety before we use them in a product. What you've described isn't something we would expect. Safety is our top priority and based on what you shared we do recommend discontinuing use of this Dawn. You mentioned your dishes smelling. You can remove the fragrance by soaking the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it. If you have a dishwasher, and your dishes are dishwasher safe, run them through the machine with some vinegar poured into the bottom of the dishwasher. Also, add some vinegar directly into the dispenser. You can also put a cup of vinegar upright on the top rack of the dishwasher so that it gets knocked over and distributed during the wash. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. We hope you'll give our Dawn E-Z Squeeze Free & Clear Fragrance-Free a try, as it has all of the cleaning power of Dawn with no added scent. We'd love to hear more about your experience in order to make a complete report to our Safety Team, and to help you further. Why change a good thing

New scent is horrible. I dont want my dishes or hands smelling like bug spray. Been using dawn for 40 years and will be switching to something else.

New scent is unpleasant, doesn’t rinse cleanly

Still cleans other things off well, but the scent is terrible and does NOT rinse off, even from stainless steel. For instance, my spoons all smell strongly of the icky new smell after using the soap on them, even after multiple rinses. I had to wash them again with a different dish soap to make my dishes not smell like the new soap smell.
Also, how can you label something “original scent” and “new scent” at the same time? This was just a bad move all around. Reminds me of New Coke.
