Horrible new scent goodbye dawn

This new scent has caused headaches I sent it back to the store... What chemicals are we being exposed to that it gives us headaches the moment the soaps scent is introduced to the air? I hope you go bankrupt, yep I'm being petty.

New Fresh Scent causes eye and throat irritation

Please stop putting scent in dishwashing detergent. For days, I kept asking myself “ what is that awful smell ?” And then I determined that my husband had bought a huge bottle of the product we had used for years. In small writing was “ new fresh scent”. The scent is so strong it’s overwhelming causing irritation to throat and eyes. I’ll be putting it in the garage for him to use outside our home where it will (hopefully) not cause the physical ailments associated with indoor use. No one needs scent to do the dishes, take it out please.

Terrible Smell

Dawn was one of the only soaps I could use without getting a headache because of the smell. Not any more. Just opened the new “clean scent” and it’s terrible. Please bring back the old smell that didn’t linger on dishes.

Quality and safety have always been at the forefront of everything we do, and while scent preferences will always vary from person to person, we would not expect you to be getting a headache when using it as directed. This is because all of our products go through extensive testing to ensure safety with proper use. Your wellbeing means a lot to us, so please discontinue using the Dishwashing Soap if you haven't done so already. In regard to the scent lingering on your dishes, we also wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. New scent is terrible

My parents used Dawn soap when we were kids and I continued to buy it for nostalgic reasons as well as being satisfied with the product. This new scent is AWFUL. The smell lingers in my water bottle and makes dishwashing more of a chore than it’s been. Smell is closely related to nostalgia and is a huge reason why so many people (like me) would continue to use this product. I’m so confused at this entire rollout.

Disgusting new scent

Absolutely disgusted by the new scent. I don't want my dishes to smell like fabric softener! Will not purchase dawn brand again unless they bring back the original scent!
