Scent makes me sick. I will returning to store. I tried to use for a day and my sinuses are all messed up.

Horrible New Scent

The new scent is so awful and strong. My dishes smell days later even with multiple rinses. I hate the smell on my hands and in my kitchen. It lingers and I can taste it.

To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Additionally, you can rewash your hands with mild hand soap to remove the scent.

New scent is putrid. Since p&g doesn’t plan on returning to the original scent, I don’t plan on returning as a customer. Yuck. 0 stars and whoever scent tested this should be in prison. Straight to jail.

Awful new smell

Used to use this soap all the time for greasy and oily hands from working on cars, but after the recent scent change, I have switched to a different soap. The new scent is putrid and unbearably strong. Really hoping P&G will listen to their customers and go back to the old smell like Coca-Cola did in 1985.

Dawn used to be the goat, new scent destroys that

Dawn used to be my go-to but the new scent is absolutely awful. It’s extremely strong and lingers in my kitchen! Smells like blueberry perfume instead of soap. Please bring back the old scent!

Horrible New Scent

Purchased my Dawn as I have been doing for over 25 years. When filling my sink caddy and doing dishes, there was an overpowering scent that I was not familiar with. I was shocked when I realized it was the Dawn. Two things: 1. The scent is awful and sickening; 2. There is NO indication on the bottle that this is a “new scent”. I find it nauseating and will be bringing it back in hopes that the store will issue a refund. I will be searching for a we dish soap until the old Dawn returns!

Stinky!!!

Ugh. This stuff freaking stinks. I haven’t had to buy a bottle in a while and the most recent one freaking stinks. The smell/flavor lingers on dishes and is very off putting.

Extensive research and consumer testing goes into our products to create appealing features, and our products undergo stringent quality controls to ensure performance and safety. When the soap scent lingers on your dishes, there could be a few potential causes for this happening. Over time, dish soap buildup can accumulate on dishes. Also, if you have hard water, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the soap and leave behind residue (using a water filter may help). For best results, add about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to the sink, then add water that’s 105-115°F. We don't recommend leaving to soak long term, but to wash promptly, and rinse the dishes thoroughly with clean water. We take your satisfaction very seriously, and our Dawn Team would like to learn more about your experience to further assist you. Horrible scent! Huge mistake!

I would give it 0 stars if I could. The new scent is horrible. It triggered a migraine because it is overwhelming strong and doesn't rinse off. Awful decision by P&G to change a long-time favorite. You should have learned from New Coke to leave an icon alone. First time in my life that I had to buy something other than Dawn and as long as this is their "New Dawn", I will never buy your product again.
