Bought a refill bottle had to return this new scent is obnoxious. Thought I bought the original with the one a replace the stinky. Wrong. I don't need perfume in my dish soap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Obnoxious New Scent

Obnoxious new scent! Smell like cheap perfume. The scent sticks to everything it touches. It’s just another instance of fixing something that wasn’t broke. I’ve been using Dawn for 20 years but will no longer use it. I switched to Kirkland brand and it works just fine without the overbearing scent.

Terrible new scent- not buying again

I have always used Dawn Dishwashing Liquid. But Not Anymore. The new scent is horrible and leaves a lasting perfume scent on the dishes, pots and pans. Please go back to the original scent.

Our Quality Team assures us that all Dawn fragrances should wash away easily. To remove any clinging scent, soak dishes in hot water with a little distilled white vinegar added to the mix. Be sure to wash porous, well loved dishes with a small amount of soap, don't soak them too long, and thoroughly rinse. You could also consider giving a fragrance free dish soap a try, such as our Dawn Free & Clear, so you'll never have these results again. Please, call us for more help with this. Bring Back The Original Scent ASAP Please!

The ORIGINAL scent was what I grew up with and and I LOVED the smell of it. I was a happy customer until they actually stopped making Original and replaced it with New Clean Scent. If you want 5 stars please bring the ORIGINAL scent back before your product line literally goes down the drain... I do not want to switch brands at all -I have been a loyal Dawn fan my whole life but I just can't find a scent that is mild enough. The Botanicals were a nice line and I suggest you go back to lighter scents and not stick with overpowering cheap perfume/ chemical scents.

We did work with a group of Dawn users when working out the details of this change, and we apologize that your nose isn't agreeing with theirs. New scent makes me vomit.

Dawn dish soaps new scent is absolutely sickening. As you can see by many of the product reviews, people are NOT happy and for good reason. I have bad sensory issues, causing many cleaning products to be off the table for me. Dawn dish soap was my favorite scent however, and I always made sure I got it over every other cleaning product. One day, I opened up a new bottle and was absolutely violated by the terrible new scent, almost like cough drops. What happened to saving the ducks? It seems more like you're trying to kill them with this new scent. Look, I get you might not want to discontinue that scent and that's fine. However, could you at least make a product with the ACTUAL original scent? I am more than willing to pay even more for it, so PLEASE please give us back the old scent!
