Terrible new scent- not buying again

I have always used Dawn Dishwashing Liquid. But Not Anymore. The new scent is horrible and leaves a lasting perfume scent on the dishes, pots and pans. Please go back to the original scent.

Thanks, Patty, for sharing your thoughts regarding Dawn Ultra Original, now with a Clean Scent. We do apologize that the fragrance has been stubborn for you. Our Quality Team assures us that all Dawn fragrances should wash away easily. To remove any clinging scent, soak dishes in hot water with a little distilled white vinegar added to the mix. Be sure to wash porous, well loved dishes with a small amount of soap, don't soak them too long, and thoroughly rinse. You could also consider giving a fragrance free dish soap a try, such as our Dawn Free & Clear, so you'll never have these results again. Please, call us for more help with this. Obnoxious new scent! Smell like cheap perfume. The scent sticks to everything it touches. It’s just another instance of fixing something that wasn’t broke. I’ve been using Dawn for 20 years but will no longer use it. I switched to Kirkland brand and it works just fine without the overbearing scent.

The "new scent" is HORRIBLE!!! It's like washing your dishes in perfume!!! You can offer all the different scents you want, BUT BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL!!

I have been using Dawn for years. Now, they go and change the original scent and I will not buy it again. It gives me a headache. It is awful!

Bought a refill bottle had to return this new scent is obnoxious. Thought I bought the original with the one a replace the stinky. Wrong. I don't need perfume in my dish soap.

Bring back the original scent!!! This new scent is so strong and smells like cheap shampoo. I can't even use it anymore.

The new scent is awful! It sticks to my hands and dishes and makes me nauseous. This is such an unnecessary and disappointing change. Will not be purchasing again, nor will I pay dawn more money to buy the fragrance free version.

However, with our quality and safety checks, and when using our dish soap as directed, this is the last thing we expect, so please discontinue using this dish soap, and soak any impacted dishes in hot water with a bit of distilled white vinegar added to it.
