It may take a few tries, but the smell will resolve. This includes the use of Dawn for emergency first-aid intervention by trained professionals in accidental exposures of animals – including accidental oil contamination of marine wildlife. Dawn is a very effective agent for the removal of oil contamination from fur and feathers, and this emergency intervention by trained personnel is a well-recognized and beneficial medical intervention.
