Awful scent

The new scent is awful! I liked the original and have used dawn for years. I am switching to Palmolive.

HATE the "New Clean Scent"!!

The "New Clean Scent" is awful. It smells perfumy and reminds us of smelly hair and laundry products. The original scent was nice and we used it for at least 20 years. We are looking for a new brand now.

Overwhelming scent

For years, I have refilled my small bottle on the top of my kitchen sink with Dawn, never anything else. I now feel as if I am squeezing out scented lotion, it is horrible. Even using just a pencil tip size of soap, the scent is still overwhelming, and it lingers. I don’t want the inside of my drinking glasses to smell like anything!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New scent is AWFUL

New scent is Awful. I wish they still offered original cuz wow it's bad. Sticks to dishes, I can smell it when I'm cooking. Really bad

We're sorry to hear that you feel this way about the scent, as a lot of thought does go into our products. We also have many quality checks to ensure that you can use our products with ease. We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the product scent into your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it's possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and should be rinsed immediately and not soaked. We hope this helps, and your comments will be passed along. As well, we suggest giving another Dawn version a try if you'd prefer a different scent. You Lost Me after 25+ years

I have been a loyal Dawn user for more than 25 years and I'm sure I have been through a few scent changes without noticing...... BUT THIS ONE IS AWEFUL!!!!!!! Please bring back the Original Scent ASAP. The new Fresh Scent is so bad that I plan to GIVE AWAY what's left and go in search of new dish soap.

Horrible Smell

This new smell is so bad! It’s very floral but in a weird chemically way, and kind of like the air freshener in a gas station bathroom. I don’t know what on earth made you change the original scent, but I’m going to have to find a different dish soap.

New fresh scent is horrible!

The new fresh scent is horrendous. I've always used Dawn original because it didn't have a overpowering fragrance that would linger on your hands. But they've lost another loyal customer with this change.

New Scent is a miss.

The new scent is very off-putting. Have been using the new formula for a few weeks, and was trying to get used to the new smell, but rather than acclimating, I have found myself increasingly nauseated.
