New Smell is awful

The new smell is awful. We have an asthmatic in our home so we have used Dawn for 40 years. The new smell is so perfumy it makes us nauseous. You can't get that odor off your hands after washing. Looking for something different now.

It may take a few tries, but the smell will resolve. New Dawn is the New Coke!

'New Clean Scent' Dawn is disgusting! Shame on you P&G! An iconic product for 52 years (I've used it nearly that long) with a huge loyal following goes and changes the scent. I thought I bought a cheap knockoff dish liquid for a minute there because I couldn't determine where the smell was coming from until I discovered P&G changed the smell of Dawn (more appropriately called an odor). I wouldn't use this to clean my trash cans, much less use it on my dishes, counters or anywhere near where I prepare food for consumption. I especially don't want that stink on my hands to carry around with me all day!. I actually think it would now be considered inhumane to use it to clean contaminated water foul of the frequent oil spills gifted to us by of our friends in the petroleum industry. This scent change does seem a little fishy though (excuse the pun!)...P&G could have released the new scent in parallel with the original scent but did not do that...It strikes me as a kind of cost saving measure, like shrinkflation, another devious tactic that I'm sure P&G is also extremely familiar with. The hunt is on for a suitable Dawn liquid replacement in my household going forward.

This is the first scent change for Dawn Original in over 10 years, and we’re sorry for your disappointment. Please know that all Dawn products, including its perfumes, are extensively evaluated for safety and are safe for use as directed. This includes the use of Dawn for emergency first-aid intervention by trained professionals in accidental exposures of animals – including accidental oil contamination of marine wildlife. Dawn is a very effective agent for the removal of oil contamination from fur and feathers, and this emergency intervention by trained personnel is a well-recognized and beneficial medical intervention. Failed formula change

Hate the new scent. Even walmart blue soap now smells different probably bc of you. Ive been a loyal dawn customer(unless its out of stock and i get equate, but thats probably contracted through you too, since birth, my whole family used it) I tried to just get used to it but i cant. I will be finding any other company as quickly as possible.

Horrible Smell

This new scent is disgusting and nauseating. I'm reconsidering buying Dawn ever again if they keep this scent. I hate it with a passion. Why would they ever change their iconic scent. Awful.

Love my Palmolive now!

Approval rating since the sent change plummeted from about 87% to now down to 20%. That's even with Procter & Gamble trying to sprinkle in all these biased Influenster reviews. What a bunch of garbage that is. Incentivized reviews are not honest. They'll say anything to keep the freebies coming.

Horrible new scent smell

What's with the new fresh scent? It's completely awful, smells so strong. Not happy, hope I can find a store with the original scent. Strong smelling soaps just like perfumes can set off people's asthma as well. I'd rethink the new smell choice.
