Don't waste your money.

Save your money, this "new scent" is nauseating!! Buyer beware! The smell causes headaches and leaves a scent on your plastic cups! Used twice and gave away.

Awful New scent

I have always used Original Dawn and it is the only dishwashing soap I use. I also use it for stain removal and other cleaning tasks. The original would receive 5 stars but in my last grocery order I was given Dawn liquid with a small sticker that said New Clean Scent. It smells exactly like the gag inducing cough medicine of my childhood! I can't use it and will have to return it. Please tell me that you are not replacing the original scent.

Disgusting scent AND taste lingers on dishware

Horrible. Didn’t notice the “new clean scent” on label until my daily water (no matter whether I use my usual mug or a glass) tasted like disgusting soap. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time extra-rinsing to try to get rid of this. The smell while washing dishes is unpleasant and makes me sneeze. I’m done with Dawn. That may sound extreme but this product is really gross & unsatisfactory. As soon as I purchase a new dish soap, I’m either going to throw this out or save for cleaning the really disgusting outdoor yard ornaments. It’s not meant for dishes off which you eat. I was moved to write a review to let manufacturers know they really need to rethink this product. It’s really bad.

Awful Clean Scent

The new "Clean" scent is awful. So over powering that it lingers in the room, on our dishes and on our hands. I want a dish soap that cleans well not one that floods the room with chemical scents. I've seen the insulting responses on this blaming porous dishes. Good luck with that strategy. It's so offensive and overpowering to the nose that we're throwing out a brand new refill size bottle. The incessant need for industry to change a good thing is disappointing, but beyond that the world is changing and most now know that overpowering perfumes equate to a chemical toxic brew. Certainly not something we'll continue exposing our family to. We've been loyal customers for decades, but this is driving us to another brand.

New scent is horrendous

Loyal user of dawn original scent. This new “clean” scent is terrible. Why would I want my dishes that I eat out of to smell like tide laundry detergent?! Come on do better! Give us the original scent back. Something neutral for dishes!! This is awful.

Bad new smell

New scent causes migraines

The new smell hurts my head and leaves the scent lasting in the air and on my dishes. It would be nice to have fragrance free again as I do not want my dishes to have fragrances on them, and I cannot handle any products with fragrance due to migraines.

Nauseating new smell

New clean scent is awful! The smell is so strong that I get headaches washing my dishes. I was a loyal "Dawn-only" customer, as nothing else cleans quite as well, but I may have to switch to something sub-par because of the nauseating smell. Regardless of whether or not this is your first scent change in 10 years, sometimes it's best to just stick with what is working instead of switching it up for the sake of something new.
