Awful new scent

I have used Dawn for years and loved the old scent but this new scent is awful! I couldn’t figure out where the putrid smell in my kitchen was coming from and then realized it was coming from the new bottle of Dawn. It stays on my hands, in the air and even the dishes now stink. Unfortunately I will be switching brands which is such a shame. Loved the old Dawn and I wish you hadn’t changed the scent.

The new scent smells so bad, I'm going to have to donate or throw out the bottle. It reminds me of the smell of nursing homes ... like a stomach churning floral scent used to mask something awful. It's disgusting.

The New Scent needs to go! I want to know who was in the focus group that picked this - it is HORRIBLE. Please go back to the ORIGINAL scent.

The new formula does not create the same amount of suds as the old formula and the suds that are created dissipate after a few minutes.

Our products go through many quality tests to make sure they get your dishes clean effectively every time when used as directed, so we're sorry to hear that your Dawn Ultra didn't work as well as you were expecting, and we're glad you brought this to our attention. It may be helpful to know that using a scouring pad or washing a lot of extra greasy dishes can make the suds disappear more rapidly. In this case, use more dishwashing liquid. Additionally, you need to use more liquid if you have hard water, due to hard water containing a lot of dissolved minerals. To increase the amount of suds, we recommend adding the dishwashing liquid to the sink before adding water, and also be sure to use water that is 105°F to 115°F (40.56°C to 46.11°C).

I have just now came acrossed this" new "scent. It smells like a bad overwhelming floral scent much like they use on toilets. The scent lingers in the skin and ever surface you put it on.

To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Additionally, you can rewash your hands with mild hand soap to remove the scent.

I Cannot Believe the SMELL!! Make the Label Bigger.. Especially when Ruining a great product

Joining the fray. I recently finished the last of a previous (apparently original scent) Dawn and picked up a new bottle. I smelled it while washing my first set of dishes and thought "is this actually the right smell?". I finished washing the dishes and left the kitchen, returned later to get something and was aware that I smelled a sickly sweet unpleasant smell in the whole kitchen.... and went to smell the bottle - sure enough, it was the new Dawn. Why, oh why. It's most definitely some artificially created chemical with incredible staying power and pungency that Dawn chemists thought would be an improvement, but there is no fooling the nose - it's UNNATURAL. The original Dawn actually smelled clean and simple and natural, now it smells like it was modified out of petrochemicals in a lab process. This is not a matter of personal taste, this is genuinely a noxious lab-created scent not found in nature.
I always get blue Dawn because I think of it as the gold-standard that they use to clean oil spills off ducks and marine life - but I feel like this scent is going to ruin that because it will probably interfere with nature at a hormonal level not to mention whatever functions marine life needs based on scents. I see that there is an unscented version but would like the actual original scent to return. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Clean Scent Is nasty. The original Dawn scent was the cleanest best smelling dish soap around. That is why I chose it over Palmolive. Back to Palmolive now as I csnt stand the new scent and threw all 5 bottles I ordered away. Even my friends wouldn't take it because of the nasty smell.
