Horrible new strong febreeze scent.

I just received a new bottle of dawn not thinking anything started to use it wondering if someone had sprayed a strong febreeze smell in it. I have a very strong stomach when it comes to smells but this smell make me feel nauseated. It smells like they got a more toxic and cheap smell to cut costs. I'm so unhappy with this will not be using this anymore and original dawn was the one I liked to use. I dunno who would want there dishes to smell like febreeze its just sickening. The point is to have a light scent that you can't smell on your dishes so you know its gone! Noone wants to eat this horrible febreeze scent. I'm not even a person who gets irrated with scents easy. But I had to tell every person I know who's sensitive to scents because it's not even labeled new scent. I've been buying the original dawn for along time and there was no change in bottle. That right there just seems like a scam or trying to trick customer which I have lost respect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad Smell

Horrible new smell on the blue liquid. Dawn's reply to "Gabby" that she must be extra sensitive is WRONG! It is horrible!! and I will also no longer be buying this product after 40+ years.

The smell of urinal cakes

Loyal Dawn user for years and will continue to use the “original “, if I can find it. I will not use any of the newly scented products as they smell horrible. All men should surely recognize the smell of urinal cakes used in public toilets. Yep, that’s the smell.

The new scent is nauseating!! Not only is the smell awful but it lingers on the dishes. It makes my dishes smell like I washed them in cheap body wash. Why take something as beloved and classic as dawn dish soap and turn it into something completely unusable?? I will no longer be purchasing Dawn products and this feels like a huge loss.

This is the first scent change for Dawn Original in over 10 years, but please be assured that we value your feedback greatly and are sharing it with the rest of our Dawn Team. Consumer feedback is vital in helping us improve our products and ensuring that we deliver the best possible experience to our consumers; it’s also instrumental in guiding the Dawn Team as they continue to work on future innovations. In regard to the scent lingering on your dishes, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. We hope this was helpful, but we'd like to learn more about your experience, try to make things right, and tell you more about our Dawn Free & Clear version that offers our lightest scent. New scent is terrible. I've always preferred plain Dawn because it didn't have an unnecessarily perfumey smell but now it's the same as everything else and there's no reason to stick with the brand.

Fragrance is terrible!

I made the mistake of buying this because the "new fresh scent" description on the last bottle was gone. I should have opened it and taken a whiff. The smell is so offensive to me that I'm going to need to give it away.

HORRIBLE SMELL!!

I just bought a big bottle to refill my small bottles and it smells horrible. Why on earth would they make dish soap smell like overpowering, flowery dollar store cologne? It doesn’t say anything on the front of the bottle about a new sent which means I will be switching brands. And that’s a shame because I’ve never used anything other than Dawn before. Zero stars!
