Good for grease stains

The price is easy to buy.
Cost-effective because it washes well.
Contains methylisothiazolinone and benzoisothiazolinone. It seems that these ingredients are not easily degraded in the environment and may have a negative impact on the ecosystem.
The packaging is good with cute animals!
It helps to get rid of grease stains quickly.
The smell is nice and refreshing, and I can wash my hands without any roughness!

Terrible New scent

Used to be five stars, but they changed the scent and defeated the purpose of getting plain dish soap. They need to take the ducky off of the marketing if they're going to have fragrance like this animals do not like strong scents.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad Smell

The new Dawn Ultra smell belongs in the shower not over the kitchen sink. It smells like overly perfumed hair conditioner and this smell remains in plastic water bottles. I will soak the water bottle in diluted vinegar per your suggestion. Please bring back the old original scent or switch to a light orange aroma. I can't find Dawn orange scent or unscented in my local store and they hiked up the price of Dawn Platinum. I will not buy Ultra again.

Can I give it a zero? Hate the new scent!!!

Can I give it a zero? I hate that they changed the scent!!!! I have fragrance sensitivity and although I have always loved the product for its cleaning ability - I cannot use it due to the new scent! I will be changing to a different product from here on out. Proctor & Gamble, if you decide to be faithful to your loyal older customers, let me know and I’ll come back.

This is the first scent change for Dawn Original in over 10 years, and we're sorry for your disappointment. It sounds like you already have, but we recommend discontinuing the use of the dish soap based on the symptoms you described. We also ask that you please hold onto the bottle for a few weeks in case our team needs to collect any additional information.

Helping animals

If it’s safe enough to clean animals, it’s good enough to clean my dishes. I’m happy. There’s a product out there that doesn’t harm the animals, especially when they’re toxic situations.

Dawn dish detergent is always my go-to soap! I’ve never found another brand that cuts through tough stains and grease quite as easily as this one. The price may deter you at first, especially in comparison to some cheaper alternatives, but trust me - it’s worth every penny! And a little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts for much longer than you might think. It leaves behind a pleasant and clean aroma on every piece of silverware and dishware. Dawn also doesn’t dry out your skin either!

Horrible new scent. Stays on dishes, gets in food.

I have used Dawn original for over 30 years. I do not like the new fragrance! We had to throw our rolls out because they tasted like perfume. The taste was coming from your new fragrance on our cooking tray. I will not buy Dawn anymore.

I love dawn. The scent is amazing. The cost was cheap and packaging is easy access. Not harmful ingredients. Cleans dishes, silverware and grime with ease.
