Stinky!!!

Ugh. This stuff freaking stinks. I haven’t had to buy a bottle in a while and the most recent one freaking stinks. The smell/flavor lingers on dishes and is very off putting.

Extensive research and consumer testing goes into our products to create appealing features, and our products undergo stringent quality controls to ensure performance and safety. When the soap scent lingers on your dishes, there could be a few potential causes for this happening. Over time, dish soap buildup can accumulate on dishes. Also, if you have hard water, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the soap and leave behind residue (using a water filter may help). For best results, add about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to the sink, then add water that’s 105-115°F. We don't recommend leaving to soak long term, but to wash promptly, and rinse the dishes thoroughly with clean water. Fights grease, loses on scent

Works as advertised but I cannot get over the horrendous scent. Bring back the original Dawn scent.

What happened to the suds?

I remember when original Dawn dish soap first came on the market. It truly did create more Suds than any other soap. But not anymore! The suds don't even last through one sink full of dishes.

We appreciate you sharing this with us, and for your loyalty to Dawn. A lack of suds/bubbles does not mean the product is not cleaning your dishes. Even if there are very few suds, the solution will carry on cleaning the dishes. Using a scouring pad or washing a lot of extra greasy dishes can make the suds disappear more rapidly. New Scent is awful

We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the scent of your Dawn Ultra, and that the smell made you feel sick, as this isn't the experience we want or expect you to have, and we're grateful you brought it to our attention. If you're concerned with how the product is affecting you, please discontinue use.
To remove the scent from your dishes, soak the items in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it, or if they're dishwasher safe, pour some vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and directly into the dispenser, then run them through the machine. It may take a couple of cycles, but the smell will come out. Additionally, you can rewash your hands with mild hand soap to remove the scent.
Your satisfaction is important to us, and we hope you'll give Dawn another try. We have a variety of scents if the Original no longer meets your needs, including an unscented version called Dawn Free and Clear, Unscented. We'd love to help you find the right product for you and assist further with this. Overpowering New Scent

The new scent smelled pleasant at first but lingers way too long on dishes and skin and quickly becomes overpowering and sickening. I will be switching to a different brand

Horrible New Scent

Purchased my Dawn as I have been doing for over 25 years. When filling my sink caddy and doing dishes, there was an overpowering scent that I was not familiar with. I was shocked when I realized it was the Dawn. Two things: 1. The scent is awful and sickening; 2. There is NO indication on the bottle that this is a “new scent”. I find it nauseating and will be bringing it back in hopes that the store will issue a refund. I will be searching for a we dish soap until the old Dawn returns!
