We can assure you that a lot of thought has gone into our Dawn Original, and it has been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We'd like to mention that we wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste onto your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous. These items shouldn't be soaked and instead should be rinsed immediately. We'll make sure that your comments are shared with our team, and we do recommend that you discontinue use of this particular product if this has been your experience. It may be helpful to know that we have other Dawn versions available if you'd prefer a different scent, and we hope that you'll give another Dawn a try. The fragrance change of Dawn Ultra Original was implemented after receiving positive feedback during extensive testing with consumers. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added.
