New Scent Smells Terrible

I love the EZ Squeeze bottle but the “new clean scent” is terrible. I didn’t realize it was different since it’s the same color as the old blue Dawn. This bottle will take forever to get through too.

Original Scent is now disgusting "New Clean Scent"

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I've been a brand-loyal Dawn customer for as long as I can remember, always purchasing the "refill" size jug of original scent Dawn. When placing a curbside grocery order, I go into my past orders to repurchase the same item I always do, understandably expecting to receive the same product. Imagine my surprise when I reordered the same old product I always have, only to be met with an overpowering, nauseating, heavily-perfumed new formula. I would have given the old scent five stars, but not only is the new scent horrible and unbearable, more appropriate for laundry if anything; but the marketing is disappointing and misleading. Customers are not being made aware that the product has changed. Zero stars.

***New Scent is DISGUSTING***

The new scent is horrible, disgusting and repulsive. I don't care how well it cleans the dishes. I will not be using it any longer. Please bring back the original scent. The original scent was perfect, no change required. Until then, consider me an ex customer.

SO disappointed to find out that despite so many negative reviews, Dawn has no intention of going back to its ORIGINAL SCENT. All caps because it’s the fresh, wonderful scent we’ve all used over the years and keep coming back to again and again. PLEASE, don’t just claim to listen to your consumers. Really listen and bring back our Dawn.

New scent is awful. It sticks to my hands and all the dishes you wash with it so much that you can taste it later. It doesn’t smell clean, it smells like the chemicals in pest poison. I’ve been a loyal customer my entire life because no soap works as well as Dawn, but I will no longer be buying this product.

We can assure you that a lot of thought has gone into our Dawn Original, and it has been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We'd like to mention that we wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste onto your dishes. However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous. These items shouldn't be soaked and instead should be rinsed immediately. We'll make sure that your comments are shared with our team, and we do recommend that you discontinue use of this particular product if this has been your experience. It may be helpful to know that we have other Dawn versions available if you'd prefer a different scent, and we hope that you'll give another Dawn a try. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Please please please bring back original Dawn! I will continue to look for it as I purchase something else. I have been using Dawn for my entire adult life and it makes me sad to see it go - this new smell is terrible and perfume-like. I can’t imagine the duck on the bottle likes it either!
