Why did the scent change?! For the worse?!

I started noticing a residual smell on my baby's bottles etc. I thought I was crazy at first because why would they suddenly start smelling weird when I've been using Dawn for over a year? Maybe they were getting old? But no, I soon realized they have a 'new scent' and I personally hate it. I will finish whatever Dawn I have and switch over to a different brand. Bye bye Dawn, why did you have to change the scent?!

Formerly great product destroyed by new scent

The new scent has made it unusable. My head ached immediately upon opening the bottle and being overwhelmed by the sickeningly sweet/floral-ish (?) fragrance. Dawn has always been my go-to detergent brand, but today I'm tossing out an almost-full 70oz bottle and heading to the store to find something new. PLEASE bring back the original scent!

Horrible scent!

I bought 2 large bottles of what I thought was the original, but I’m going to have to return them. I cannot get past that awful scent. I have to wear gloves so it doesn’t make my hands smell! Dawn used to be the only one I got. No more! I’m going to find something else! That new scent makes me want to puke. I got a small one in the store with the “new” scent and waited for the 2 large bottles I ordered in what I thought was the original scent. Now I’ve got to return those too! Sorry, whomever thought this scent was “pleasant” was WAY OFF THE MARK with this one. So you’ve lost a customer who’s purchased your dish soap for over 20 years. Now I’ve got to find another! I just can’t use Dawn anymore. (From the reviews, I’m not the only one who feels this way. Sad how businesses no longer care about their customers loyalty to a product, and are unwilling to bring back the original scent.

New fragrance is terrible.

The new fragrance is terrible. It lingers on my dishes and hands. I had to use a different soap to remove the smell. I will never purchase this product again unless they remove the fragrance.

A lot of thought and research goes into each product, we offer a variety of dish soap versions and scents. As well, our products undergo stringent quality controls to ensure performance and safety. When the soap scent lingers on your dishes, there could be a few potential causes for this happening. Over time, dish soap buildup can accumulate on dishes. Also, if you have hard water, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the soap and leave behind residue (using a water filter may help). For best results, add about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to the sink, then add water that’s 105-115°F. We don't recommend leaving to soak long term, but to wash promptly, and rinse the dishes thoroughly with clean water. We take your satisfaction very seriously, and our Dawn Team would like to learn more about your experience to further assist you. New Scent? Why do you hate money?

NEW SCENT IS HORRIBLE!! I’ve used Dawn my entire life. People don’t buy Dawn because of its grease fighting abilities. All soap works. Soap is soap. We buy it because of the scent. That was all you had. And you changed it to the strongest most artificial floral stench you could find?? Why do you hate money? Put it back please. I don’t want to have to find a new soap.
