Horrible change to the "Original" scent.

"Original" does not mean "New"!! The New Clean Scent claimed to be original is horrible! Very overpowering perfume. There is a reason a consumer continues to buy a product. It is because they like it. When you change it they will probably not like the change. You want to create a new product with a new scent, have at it, but don't change the "Original" and still call it "Original". Completely idiotic. Won't be buying this product anymore.

Those Poor Ducklings

Absolutely terrible new scent. They changed the consistency of the soap to be more watery too. All around terrible. If I were a duckling I’d hate being cleaned with this new Dawn. Bring back the original Dawn please!

Don’t Buy Dawn’s Fresh New Scent Detergent

I only use Dawn because of how good it cleans. However, after purchasing a bottle a couple of months ago for when I ran out, I was shocked by the new scent. I sneeze nonstop while washing dishes. And I can’t get the scent off my hands once I finish washing. Dawn’s new scent is horrendous.

BRING BACK THE REAL ORIGINAL SCENT!

Why did you ruin Dawn? I am so upset. I have used this product for 30 years and been a loyal customer and fan. Tried other brands occasionally but have always come back to this wonderful, mild but powerful product, with a very light, pleasant subtle odor. I can't believe how overpowering and awful the new scent. When I realized that this was a change to formula, I was incredulous. I had purchased an industrial sized refill bottle and now I can hardly stand to use it. Dawn is honestly the only brand name product I purchase regularly without opting for store brands, etc. Wow, So disappointed.

Horrible New Scent

I do not like the new scent. Dawn used to be the best liquid soap and now I have to find another one because the new scent gives me a headache. It's crazy that the company would make this change with a product that has been tried and true for so many years. The very least they could do is offer the original scent in addition to the horrible new scent.

Awful, migraine-inducing smell

Dawn - why in the world would you change the scent of your original blue formula after all these years?!? This new scent is awful and triggers an instant migraine. No one wants their dishes and cups to smell like this. The smell then runs off on the taste. Absolutely disgusting. Too much fragrance! One star is too many but it would not let me give zero. Go back to the original. Not that you care, but you have lost yet another loyal Dawn customer.

New Scent is Horrible!

New scent is terrible! Leaves a lingering scent on my dishes that smells like bad shampoo. My family has been using dawn for several decades, and unfortunately that stops now. CHANGE THE SCENT BACK, DAWN!!!

Soap buildup: Over time, dish soap can accumulate on dishes, especially if they are not rinsed thoroughly or if too much soap is used. This buildup can leave a residue and scent. Make sure you are rinsing your dishes thoroughly with clean water after washing them.
Hard water: If you have hard water in your area, it can interact with the dish soap and leave behind mineral deposits on your dishes, which can appear as a residue. Consider using a water softener or an additional rinse aid to counteract the effects of hard water.
